Random Guild Invite spamming should be bannable

You disable guild invites and still get random whispers from people all the time. It’s annoying and it’s been going on for years.

Edit: A good solution would be to disable guild invites from the addon api

Are you serious? How is disabling whispers even a remotely acceptable solution? You’ve got to be out of your mind dude

Disable them in your main chat windows and set one to the side just for whispers. Easy to ignore but there when you need it

Whispers are a separate function. They’d have to let you block all whispers. Which isn’t really the greatest idea. Just ignore them. Put whispers in a separate window. Or let them scroll on by.

If I have block guild invites on and I get whispers about guild invites, I consider that spam and report it as such.

Any fool can see I am not interested in being in a guild if I have block invites on so they should also know they are sending me unwelcome messages.

Yeah let me just ignore all the people who have yet to spam me. Oh wait I don’t know who will spam me tomorrow.

They don’t spam. They send one. Ignore it. Or put whispers in a different window. Or put the sender on ignore for a day.

There’s nothing Blizz can do about random whispers. But you, personally, do have options.

It’s a function that’s done at the same time through an add-on. And I don’t think there’s a way for them to block that add-on or they’d break guild invites and whispers both.

Yes they can. They can go and retroactively view reports and issue 24 hour bans or alternatively issue penalties to the offending guild.

For sending you a whisper? There’s nothing in the rules against that.
