Great thing that you have retail available for you then. RDF is why we have classic; classic was made for millions of subs lost as WoW made a massive genre shift away from being an mmo and immersive world and into a solo action adventure.
you mean the empty servers that you can level up in and see no one else? Those millions?

The population is concentrated in a few large servers because of blizzards horrific community management, layering, and unlimited free reign transfers. Pretty stupid to cherry pick a low pop realm as representative of the population of the whole game, especially considering blizzards incompetance at managing server populations.
But then he wouldnt make even more friends, how do you have time for all of them?
Except RDF is QoL, not a totally different game… hmm you have era with no RDF… and it was in wrath, if you forgot #nochanges… ill be fine if it comes out with icc, just as long as its in wrath
I actually found it much easier to find people to join my group after rdf was added. Before rdf when I asked in guild if anyone wanted to join me on some lowbie dungeon the first question people asked was, “Do you have a tank?” Rarely would anyone switch to their lowbie alt to join because the odds were that the group wouldn’t get formed or would take an hour or more. After rdf was added I always got a friend or two to join because they knew it wouldn’t be a waste of time to switch to an alt since we knew with rdf we would find the players to fill the empty slots.

Before rdf was added wow was mostly a solo game until you got to level cap and started raiding. Most people solo quested with a rare dungeon run as they rushed to cap. Then most raid logged. With rdf it became a true mmo from level 10 with people doing all the dungeons along the way often more than once. And because people play mmo’s to play with other people when the number of dungeons done spiked more people leveled more alts and didn’t just raid log.

The mega servers were mostly created because it was too hard to find groups. I know of 4 whole guilds that transferred in mass during BC to a mega server for one reason only. They couldn’t find enough dungeon groups. During BC because doing dungeons was by design very important for progression in that expansion.

Pro tip RDF does not remove the open persistent world and an RDF dungeon is still a dungeon you are playing with 4 other players.

I asked a question, i didnt make a statement. If you have been playing then go do alpha and beta. If you havent been playing then why have you been gloating about this massive friends list you have grown and that we should do the same?

He used to brag that he was such a great hunter that tanks were constantly begging him to do dungeons, more than he could do, and if he wasn’t available they wouldn’t do the run. That was until his parses were linked showing he was mediocre at best and his guild was ready to dump him the second they got a better player.

It doesn’t matter what you say to each other because you all have made up your mind, and the fact is, it’s extremely rare for someone to change their mind. But keep posting, it keeps the thread alive so Blizz sees it, and from my count it’s looking like the advocates are winning this debate. All you anti’s need to do is stop posting and the thread will die and Blizz won’t see it. Then you win.

I have no issue with this statement at all, my point is not to change the minds of anyone but to correct inaccuracies and facts being presented as opinions.
Fact is LFG is not great but workable sometimes. The main problems with it are the lack of community involvement in doing more than the heroic daily. Wrath dungeons are not engaging for most players this time around apparently.
I flat out just prefer RDF when I am not able to form a group from my guild, which is fairly often as people have lives and other interests that may not align with what I want to do at the time, and that is 100% okay. RDF could fill in during those times.
It does however bother me when people are flat wrong about the system, it’s history, and its uses in comparison to the newer LFG tool we have. People largely do not care about the tagged on bonus rewards and just want the facilitation of the system.

I do normal and heroic dungeons as well, not just H+/++. Because i dont just do the dungeons i need, but help others as well.
Really? A tank begging… HA. I was only like 3800 gs playing with 4.5-5.1k geared players and I have never once begged to play with anyone in Wrath classic nor did I beg anyone in Wrath on my DK tank. Tanks get begged, they dont beg.
So either there is something lost in translation, or hes lying.

Heavy exageration of what i actually said.
Asking =/= begging, never said they wouldnt do it without me but they prefered me there because it made the run smoother, and for context sake this was early tbcc before people outgeared heroics and CC was still heavily desired (and being able to trap 2 targets at once was valuable.
And you still seem to think attacking my parses means i cant use my classes utility properly and my guild already uses a rotating bench.
