Since Tuesday 16/11 I’ve been experiencing random sudden disconnects (error WOW51900319). Primarily these disconnects have happened inside mythic+ dungeons, however they have also occurred while I was sat on my mount in Oribos. My internet itself appears fine: I can freely chat on discord, visit websites etc…
I have tried:
resetting router
release/renew/flush IP & DNS
rollback a recent windows 10 update
scan and repair battle.net
WinMTR statistics from one disconnect while inside a dungeon (ran for ~5 minutes):
Can confirm, been getting this same issue for a week or two now, it MOSTLY happens when I FP into the Heart of the Forrest, but it’ll also happen randomly while I’m flying around for mining or the like too
I had that bug for ages, it was especially bad after patch 9.1 but I thought it got fixed. However I’ve since set my hearth there so I don’t know if it still happens.
I looked at this post as I’ve been getting disconnects since the start of this reset week, I think there was an update but don’t know what it did.
But given there’s that known bug with the launcher doing updates I don’t even know if it was a real update or not.
I’ve had them while tabbed out looking at Discord or a web page, I’ve had them happen while looking at the AH, I’ve even had it happen while getting on my AH mount with the timing showing me on my mount but the NPC never showing up. It’s happened in an M+ and it’s happened in raid the last two days.
Currently I’m typing this post after being swapped out because I’ve been disconnecting.
None of my disconnects have been caused by my connection going down, I’m able to tell my raid team, “I’m disconnecting,” they can hear me and I can hear them. I’m listening to them now and it sounds like I’m going to miss the teams first Fatescripe kill.
Being technically minded I thought I’d have a look at the Connection.log file in the Logs directory, but that gives no information as it’s empty, despite being made when I logged in today.
Annoyingly all the time I’ve been typing this post I’ve not been disconnected.
I don’t know how to investigate further as it doesn’t happen consistently, if it always happened when I did X I could do more investigating but it doesn’t.
I did multiple boss attempts with no problem and then had two pulls in a row where it disconnected, then while on raid break I came back to my computer and was looking at the disconnect screen. I’m still connected while typing this and it’s been 24 minutes since I was swapped out.
Seems lot’s of people getting Disconnect as there are multiple topic listing on it. I myself posted in one. There is no problem with my internet connect what-so-ever. In game latency was showing 28ms right before disconnect but gave the same code (error WOW51900319). Seeing it just started for me and after reading all the other disconnect comments and topics that have just posted I’ve come to the conclusion it’s on Blizzards end that’s causing the disconnects not the players end.
When I launched WoW today there was a small patch and I haven’t disconnected at all today and got to kill Mythic Fatescribe.
I still haven’t disconnected however I don’t know if that was a patch to address this or coincidence as it never tells you what the patch did. Also with that Launcher updating loop discussion I don’t even know if it was a “real” patch or not!
That’s good to hear! We did some push keys this afternoon and I wasn’t disconnected either, so hopefully that battle.net patch did something. I noticed on the EU forums that some people have been complaining about similar issues.
