What’s with the Fist of Justice talent for retribution paladins? It is the only stun in the game, that I know of, with a variable cooldown. Having your team mates ask “When is HoJ ready?” and having no idea because of this talent you really have no idea. It depends a lot on factors affected by your individual and opponents gameplay.
All I’m asking is that the cooldown becomes baseline. It doesn’t have to be like the old fist of justice (although it would be nice)
Keen to hear what you guys think.

Yeah we dont need more kidney shots sorry. The talent rewards you for keeping up with judgement cd, it offers counterplay for the other team in ccing you to offset how many goes you get per game
I’m sorry. So you’re saying…wait what are you saying?

Hes saying he gets too many stuns to communicate it properly

What I am saying. Is that it’s the only stun in arena that has a variable cooldown and I don’t think it should be that way.
I actually find that it’s interesting, makes the game less scripted because of that. Makes it harder for people to just track with some addons

You actually make a really good point. I think of times where I’d have so much uptime and the HoJ is potentially up before the DR wears off.
Not common but definately a unique positive of the talent.
outlaw has dynamic cooldowns as well, it’s much more fun and gives better players tighter cds
legion mm also had something similar
I’m pretty sure the Outlaw stun is a 30 second cooldown baseline.
Not the same.
Dillon it’s not interesting omegalul. The game is already scripted as is… As ret you have to have it up by a certain time.
Would you want variable pet stun or variable trap CD?

maybe you need to learn how to count better
or start using the modifier “ish” in your speech

ret: each HP spent reduces the cd on ret’s main stun
outlaw: each CP spent reduces the cd on outlaw’s main stun
?
it’s literally the same mechanic

Yeah we’ll factor in our cooldown remaining, the amount of uptime I estimate I’ll have for the next few stages of the fight and knowing if I’ll get stunned. Then I can tell my partners how long it’s got left.
Ya variable pet stun would own
There’s huge value to CDR on stuff like that
That was pmuch all of legion MM optomizing aspect of the cheeta/turtle CDR, def way better to have that vs a flat chance
I’m refering to the base cooldown. 1minute vs 30 seconds.
The rogue will have his stun up in any scenario ready for a go that lines up with team mates DRs and CC.
It’d be great if every class was on the same level. Then there would be skill to getting your spells up in time. But the game isn’t like that.
I mean not every class and spec has to be the same, It makes things more interesting this way for paladin vs when they just had flat 30 second HoJ
Big plus is not being as scripted for grounding and other stuff, since people struggle to perfectly track the CD.

then your problem isnt the mechanics, just that hoj cd is too long
not trying to be mean, but I’m starting to understand why you have trouble communicating tbh
