this has happened a few times since launch but I’ve noticed that someone will pull mobs in the open world, run away or be on their mount so leads them away. the mobs then won’t reset - they will immediately beeline straight for anyone else in the vicinity who is attacking other mobs (not the ones that have been pulled). if a mob is reset it should eff off back to its spot, not randomly pick another target.
This is how aggro worked in Classic as well.

This is how it worked in vanilla. Was one way people would grief others on PVE servers… pull a group of mobs and vanish or FD, instant aggro on other player.
No, the other player would have to do something directly to those mobs. Just fighting near them was never enough to draw aggro like that in vanilla. People used to try it all the time.
