Rampant bots

Everywhere i’ve been is a hunter bot with a keyboard smash name, with a chinese letter as the pets name. Always a boar. Either circling a zone getting levels, or on there way to the next. You can go to blackrock and see them coming from thorium point, not sure what they farm as i’ve not followed them, but at this point it feels like they’re being ignored. I report atleast 12 a day, yet I always see them the next day in the same spot or in a new one.

blizz will never take any serious action against bots because:

  1. bots pay subs and increase MAU metrics
  2. nobody is quitting over bots

it’s that simple

Blizz is a billion+ dollar megacorp, they EASILY have the resources and manpower to end all bots within a few weeks, but it’s not financially worth it to do that so the higher-ups won’t do it.

Careful, some of the bots will report u back. I saw a random warlock with a felguard using a chinese character in its name. I targeted it to report it, and it immediately flipped through like 3 users and locked on me in like a fraction of a second.

If you’re really going to make this argument, wouldn’t they make more money by forcing them to open new accounts and gobbling up playtime with bans?

Bot farmers wouldn’t continue to create new accounts if they were not profitable. They wouldn’t make 100 accounts, watch them get banned in the first couple of weeks before they make any money, then make another 100.

Right now they make 100 accounts, operate for 2-3 months until blizz does one of their mass ban waves, they have made enough already to become profitable, then open another 100 accounts.

Exactly, how does that explain the conspiracy theory that blizz is in it for the subs when they make $50 a pop selling new licenses? Conspiracy theories are a dead end and generally people look pretty stupid relying on them for their reasoning.
