The Rajani lost their Keeper, who rebuilt their clan in the first place. I’m disappointed we haven’t learned anything about them since BfA. I would have loved if they were playable, or at least to learn that they integrated into Pandarian society. Maybe they’ll be mentioned in Exploring Azeroth: Pandaria, but Exploring Azeroth: Northrend lazily skipped over a bunch of races, like the Nerubians and Gorloc, so I don’t know if Blizz will remember the Rajani.
Not sure which faction they should join, if any.
I would imagine they wouldn’t join any of the major superpower factions. Likewise I could see them still fighting the warring Mogu tribes while ensuring they do not take the Vale. Probably also keeping an eye on the Mantid. Or maybe even took the fight to them after the fall of their recent Empress.

Rajani should stay neutral
And in general Pandaren governance is non-existent
But we’re it to exist, they should get a seat
Actually no Rajani on Alliance if Horde gets Saurok

Anything on Pandaria should be neutral IMO. Even the groups that previously joined Alliance or Horde should hang it up and move on.

You’ll take my Wukong reference from my cold dead hands

Aesthetically I’d worry that this would look imbalanced, as Rajani are ultimately a reskin of draenei while the horde would be getting an alliance-shaped race due to saurok being based off the worgen model.

Sorry, not too familiar with Wukong, but I’m just calling it as I see it. Aside from the Jinyu, Hozen, and a few groups of desperate pandaren, everyone there is looking at the constant waring between Horde and Alliance and thinking we’re all dumb as hammers and wouldn’t want to touch it with a twenty mile pole.
Even those who were siding with one side or another were glad to have their normal lives and homes back when it was over. When word reached them that the two sides were at it again, I doubt very much any of them they were eager to join back in with the ridiculousness.
…except maybe the Hozen, because they’re a tad bit crazy.

We literally had the Jinyu help the Alliance in Azshara just as we had the Monkey King and Hozen in Zuldazar lol
In an ideal universe for me, Pandaria is ruled by the August Celestials but it includes Shaohao, the Monkey King, a Jinyu that should be elevated as a reference to something from a relevant myth or epic cycle, Rajani leader dude, a Saurok, and a Yaungol (maybe a chilled out Ordos)
10 August Celestials with the Golden Emperor ruling from the Vale
Ngl I do not care at all about “base model balancing” and I literally have never been able to fathom that specific concern

I figure that the Rajani are still continuing their mission of protecting the Vale, perhaps they’ve seized control of the Engine of Nalak’sha to help better defend it and what not.
They could go Alliance if they have the Rajani leader attempt to take control of the other clans. He feels that the power of the Thunder King would get them to follow him and reaches out to Jaina, through Bran and Magni, to transfer the power of the Thunder King in her staff into him, as thanks he pledges himself and the Mogu to the Alliance.

Obviously the alliance so Jaina can finally use that charged staff from the isle of thunder.
knowing Golden & Co, if they remember Jaina’s staff has the Thunder King’s power, they’d write a story where the Mogu recognize her as Thunder Queen

The Rajani understand that their orders come from the titans and that ra den was their commander. Do you abandon the war when a commander dies?

Honestly if BFA hadn’t been cut short we might have had a final set of allied races. Plus possibly a different pairing of races. My theory is that Gilgoblins and Mechagnomes were supposed to be the 5th set. With Vulpera and Mogu being the sixth.
The Unshackled being added to Ogrimmar Harbour in 8.3, with no Waveblade in Stormwind, was probably where a new Gilgoblin would start. The Mogu would just start in the Valley and port to Stormwind. The Vulpera recruitment quest could have the Gilgoblins swapped in and it would still work. (Especially the quest to kill Naga).
The Gilgoblin and Mogu were the only races that fullfilled most of the Allied Race requirements in BFA. Male and females, rep faction, use an existing races model, questline that introduces them. I know not all allied races follow this, but most do. And the rep is not needed now.

We talking realistically or morally?
Cause mass desertion after the death of a leader is a thing that has happened in eras before modern command structure.
Rajani like all mogu aren’t known for cowardice

I would say it is fair. I mean Alliance got a new skeleton in Kul Tirans, with the only non-kul Tiran to use it is Rexxar. While Zandalari are kinda reskins of the Night Elf (male) and Female Troll (female) models iirc.
