Raise your hand if you ALWAYS hide your cloak, helm, and shoulders

With a few exceptions for helms (that are basically cloth only) there are zero items in game that I think look decent in any of these slots. The shoulders are always too big, cloaks are outdated, and there kinda aren’t any decent hats  My plate characters always really suffer in the xmog department, and there’s not a lot to choose from from leather either.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Cloak, yes. Helm and shoulders, usually yes except for rare exceptions.

Disclaimer: Yes, I know my cloak is visible right now. No, I haven’t been to the transmogrifier in awhile, lol

Not a fan of cloaks anymore. I dont like most helms but Engineering goggles are master tier.

on some races, yeah, but i like wearing cloaks unless i’m wearing a robe and i like lower-face masks.

on nightborne and pandaren shoulders get really annoying for me

Nope, I need them all active to look ready for combat.

I normally hide all three. Sometimes I will use shoulders, depending on the class/mog, but helms and cloaks I never use. My outfits are usually pretty lightweight.

Helms just hide my pretty face, shoulders are bulky and capes are for hobo suits, darling.

Cloak, almost always. Helm occasionally. Shoulders? Never! I usually play an Orc, it’s kind of a sensitive subject for us.

Try wearing mail. It’s rough. I always hide my helm, but rarely cloak and shoulders.

Helms are just sad.

There’s a lot of helmets I really like the look of, cloaks too. So, whether or not I hide them really depends on the theme I have in mind at the time.

What I don’t understand is why we still can’t hide our gloves. They added the item for it back in the BFA beta, but it’s yet to come to live servers. Doesn’t look like it’ll be in 8.1 yet, either.

Used to always hide helm/cloak all the time.

Now there are some helm exceptions, like for the mog I’m currently using and every now and then I’ll use a cloak if it looks really good.

I hide helm: I want to see my toon’s face.
I hide shoulders: the small ones are boring; the cool ones are way too large.
Cloak … I leave this showing cuz it hides her figure flaws.

I always hide cloak, and on my female toons I hide the helm and shoulders as well. The oversized shoulders can look good on the more bulky male models, but for females it usually just looks dorky.

There’s just no cloak that sits well over the tail… so hide it I must.

I always hide the helm. It takes me forever to settled on a face/look for a toon, so why would I hide that under a helmet? Most of the time I hide the cloak and shoulders as they never seem to look right. There are a few that are okay, but most of them look weird, especially on gnomes.

Usually just my helm. I have yet to find any helm that I think looks good on a worgen.

I have never liked cloaks in WoW. To me almost all of them look like when a kid (I did this myself) ties a towel around their neck to make a cape.

Shoulders can be hit or miss, and mostly miss. They have always been absurdly disproportionate but I do still wear them on a few different transmogs. I also feel compelled to wear them so I don’t get mistaken for a Saurfang supporter.

Just like shoulders helms can be horrid and disproportioned though some still look quite good on some models.

I feel like in the case of Bloodelves and Forsaken the new models have had their items scale thrown way off and it has ruined a lot of old armor looks that use to be really nice.
