Raise the drop rate or lower the required amount of kills needed for Fyr'alath

Shadowmourne never required you to kill the Lich King to get. You got the axe before the final quest of the chain which was to kill the Lich King.

Dragonwrath however did require you to defeat Ragnaros, but even then it could be done on normal mode.

It’s 100% guaranteed after 15 kills on Heroic; 6 kills on Mythic.

If you’re doing LFR/Normal, then you’re pretty much praying for a miracle. It’d be nice if it was a 100% drop on the first on any difficulty AND the ilvl of the legendary was tied to the difficulty it dropped from (496 Mythic, 484 Heroic, 472 Normal, 460 LFR).

But that’s not what they chose for the drop-rate design. /shrug

Not even the Sylvanas bow from Shadowlands was a “100%” drop chance from any difficulty and its ilvl was based on the difficulty you got it on. With the lowest being normal. So no idea why you would expect Fyr’alath to have that if Blizzard went with that system instead of the one we got.

The sad truth is, Legendaries should be Legendaries. Either by low RNG drop chances or long questlines that require unique challenges.

Fyr’alath is about 8% more dmg, which is still really nice.

Hahaha
Took a page out of your book =P

OPs Pally was no where near BIS as he/she suggested (Post 13). Looking at logs, they were averaging 59.3 in Heroic.

Axe wasnt the issue they were low on dps meters, having the Axe wouldnt suddenly make the game better for them. They said they were having fun on the class without the Axe already.

Path of least resistance, its easier to farm a Heroic boss for >Mythic level gear then get mad when it doesnt drop compared to actually doing harder content.

I’m good with a long, long quest line… RNG can take a hike.

Blizz, gib orange pixels NOW

Nice to have yes, but not a 100% needed item like some of the people on these forums are making it sound like, and certainly not warranted for a 100% drop rate like some are asking for.

It should be 100% drop rate in Awakened difficulty. Full stop. That’s the move Blizz.

And for what it’s worth, it took me a couple of months to get it.

What a trash logic.

You literally admit to acquiring the axe in less time than I’ve been running it and yet also say that you deserve it more, and I don’t deserve it at all simply because I started farming for it later into the season.

Classic I got mines, screw you mind frame.

You seem like an insufferable person.

You are wrong, but sure whatever helps you sleep at night.

is it hard for you to count?

this week will be my 9th attempt, you claim to have taken a couple months to get it, that is 8 weeks.

Common sense is difficult for you so I’m not surprised math is also.

Seems like it’s hard for you to count, you say 8 weeks, I say a couple of months, that’s around about the same number of attempts. Fact I got my axe on 26 January, that’s roughly 9 weeks after the RWF was done.

Even if I only took 8 weeks and you are on your 9th attempt, what does that even matter? A week or two is nothing, you are crying because you decided to wait until it was too late to farm your axe, that’s all on you buddy.

When I decided to start attempting to get it does not matter in relation to mine and yours discussion.

You said I deserve it less than you despite the fact that we have put in the EXACT same amount of effort.

So please explain how you deserve it more than me or anyone else that has put in literally the same exact amount of effort and time as you claim you did.

I have 7 level 70’s and have been playing the raid on many other characters throughout the period of the raids duration, only on my melee class have I specifically been farming for fyralath. I have been playing since the release of the raid also, just not on my melee class. I know that might be hard for your smooth brain to understand.

Your argument is crap.

RNG is not skill, RNG is not effort, RNG is not legendary.

And also

Chances are they are also paying for a carry to get the kill in the first place.

Check my armory. Since 2008+ Realm First Conq of Naxx, Realm first Magic Seeker, Amani War Bear, years worth of AOTC kills, and full raid clears, I have never and will never pay for a carry, it completely takes away from the reason I started playing the game which was fun and competition, and solving difficult encounters with teammates.

Just because I think that an item that has had 3 classes balanced around it should be more skill based in acquisition than RNG, does not mean I pay for carries and want an easy way out.

And just for the record, If there was a weapon that was on par with being close to as good as fyralath, I wouldn’t even be commenting because I could give a crap less if its a stupid orange legendary or not, I just want not to be behind other players with it simply because I haven’t been “as lucky”

Ive done it every week on 3 characters and its still not dropped. Even our healers have gotten it, and now its season 4.

Who cares about whats fair I did 17 kills on Sark for my lego I dont want anyone to go through that torture.

They can’t. They don’t actually believe this “I earned it” BS. They want to feel special because IRL they are losers with nothing so holding in game things over others heads is how they feel good about themselves.

I have to agree to this 100%.

And just as an update to everyone, Just killed heroic fyrakk , No axe dropped for me, However it did drop for 2 people in the raid.

1 of them their 5th kill ever, the other their 6th kill ever.

While others in the group got no axe, on their 10th+ kill.

Please explain to me how the people with 10+ kills deserve it less than the people who just got it on their 5th and 6th kill ever.

RNG is NOT legendary.

Yea, legendaries could def benefit from being a nice questline, but not like shadowmourne or the cata staff where only one person can work on it, that only leads to issues

I just ran a group of 19 plates through a Heroic Fyrakk run, all of them needed it, 0 axes dropped, most people in there were on double digit attempts, it was my 9th attempt. 0. Axes.
