The cap rises each week and is retroactive, you can earn 360 so far this tier regardless of how many you got in previous weeks.
630 for carved and weathered.

I’m not a fan of currency caps or time gating. Just let everyone max out their stuff already, then again maybe there should be a cap on something to keep people logging in to work towards something.
Just too many things are restricted when really it just needs to be one single piece that takes weeks to upgrade or wtv… idk.

I don’t mind a in your bag cap but the fac that I"m down to 30 and can’t get anymore because I’m overall capped is dumb.
It’s so the content can get easier and more accessible over time (Within reason) without being too easy early on. You tune around an ilvl for a given thing and then let people gradually over gear it.

Yeah I capped on tuesday right after the reset.
The cap is way too low for how many you need from stuff etc.

It’s kind of a bummer how they do it, I don’t necessarily want to gear alts yet. I’m going to wait until 4 charges of catalyst unlock so I can just farm pieces and convert them to tier immediately on an alt. But my main is 615 item level and all I do now is log on to fill vault with all H track spots, spend the crests till I run out do the weeklies. I can get that done in like 1-2 days and then log for the rest of the week, kind of boring.
But I suppose I’d be in the same boat if they let you just upgrade all your gear with no crest cap, so 
. The game is starting to feel like a chore/job to me and usually it takes longer than a month and a week from launch for me to feel that way so I think I need to take a break.

Either the runed cap needs to be increase to speed up how fast one can get to 619 ilvl, or reduce the keystone level Gilded crests drop to +7s or +8s. Currently the large majority of the community that doesn’t raid is just getting hard-stuck in that 614-615 ilvl range.

The weekly cap on crests is quite fine as is.
The cap on valorstones is absurd, frustrating, and dumb.

Yeah the cap doesn’t really make sense to me. Sure, I could probably stand to push +9s and I presume they want to reward people who go high on low gear? (Craft on highest means more crests leftover for upgrades). But it get tedious quick
I wish they would raise the cap on valorstones
The real issue is Valorstones; it’s less cumbersome right now for me as I’m caught back up with the Weathered, Carved, and Runed Crest caps (so I’m unable to upgrade until the following week, allowing myself to restock on the stones) but it’s an extra annoyance and limiter on upgrading gear when Crests already do that.

If they just fully uncapped crests, you’re not 619 so you’re not getting into any M+ groups anymore.

At least from Blizzards end, there definitely should be a cap, because they dont want all the motivated players to reach max ilvl in a couple days…and then unsub in less than a month.
A large portion of the player base already does it regardless of the cap
