i’ve been on / off wow for the last few years but now trying to give it a serious go and explore older content. i used to use this website where you could sign up for old and new raids and achievement farming in 5 mans ans such… among other activities. but i can’t seem to remember the name of it, it had it’s own rep points system too to promote good behavior and such, people could rate you after the activity was done.
anyone remember if this site is still up and if so whats the name of it?
Yep, it was openraid.
That shut down, the domain is now owned by some random spam mmo news site.
Some people from the openraid team started a new thing a few years after (achieved.gg), but it’s dead. There’s 1 raid posted and the last forum post was 10 months ago. Clearly didn’t take off.
Which makes sense. The in-game premade group finder eliminated the need for external tools like Openraid for the average user. Even that 1 raid that’s posted has a note saying they’re not going to invite you and you need to join through the in-game group finder.
Thanks for reminding me that I don’t need to have openraid in my favorites anymore…used that site a ton when it was a new thing, and yeah, pretty much never again by the time the group finder was added. Even aside from that, I think Discord’s basically the de facto external tool for grouping up these days.
i rarely use discord, how could i get into a group for legacy achievements? most are soloable but some need extra bodies to complete like I GOT WHAT YOU MEAD.
You could try the Communities tab in game, but the ones that I’ve joined seem pretty empty. You could also try your specific server’s forum or look under the Gameplay forums and try posting something.
