You get more than 2 per week, if you are in a guild. When you dont waste normal loot especially trinkets, tier and weapons you get a lot more items
Is not about luck, like I said me and my co-tank were the last ones to get any loot, both of us jump +10 ilvs by the second week and another 5-6 ilv by the third one.
I don’t think I even bother to do m+ for items this season at all
Because as a tank I wasn’t a priority, I could have gone and gotten higher ilv from m+, but the lower ilv items I had were usually better anyway. Like trinkets, rings and crafted armor.
The 1 thing I would change for raids is crest, is crazy that a +16 is the same as doing mythic raids. The last few bosses of heroic should drop aspects and mythic bosses should double what they drop.
I’m on the fence, but if 18s give mythic track in the vault, as faceroll as they are, it’s hard to argue against heroic raid giving mythic track in the vault as well.
Or atleast half and half. First half heroic bosses give wyrm, second half give aspect. 16s giving aspect but heroic raiding giving zero does seem out of balance imo.
I still think overall you got pretty lucky with stuff like augury early and your raid weapon.
For someone that cleared up to smolderon mythic in the first 3 weeks having someone like me being able to keep up by doing M+ is pretty insane imo. Not many guilds will be able to do that. (this is like some top world 300 guilds)
I mean definitely the crest systems if kept needs to be buffed in raids.
But yea that was vs an example of someone that only did up to heroic raiding as we’ve discussed this he did mythic raiding on his other character. And for sure mythic raiding will make it so you can keep up even more if youre a top 300 world guild.
I didn’t have the time to do much m+, we always push an extra day on the first 2 weeks of a season, but thanks to the upgrade system, catalyst and crafted gear I didn’t feel I was falling behind.
Any other expansion and I would have been screwed gear wise, but this past 2 season I was able to take it easy and not burn my self farming m+. At least that is my experience.
Imagine playing a video game and REQUIRING it do anything more than play. Demanding rewards from content to “make it worth your time” is so cringe. No one is forcing you to do any kind of content or adhere to some bis list you read online. Either you have fun chasing bis or you don’t. The answer need not always be, give me more better stuff or i won’t go. Entitled players are the worst.
Raid because its fun and a different kind of complicated than m+.
Yea definitely the upgrade system coming to raiding is a godsend. Crafted gear tho is reliant on M+ as crests are not really obtainable in raiding as easily.
I still think for the first weeks the boost from M+ is very noticeable, I don’t know how generally you can keep up with it unless you are able to push right into mythic which to be fair they made mythic first bosses a joke for the 2 last tier so you can get a lot of gear early by doing that.
M+ needs more content and a different reward structure. It also needs unique gear that is only useful in M+.
Blizzard has too much crossover in the end game between M+ and raiding. It needs the same treatment as PVP.
M+ has also made dungeon content in WoW extremely stagnant. There hasn’t been any innovation in dungeon design for a long time. I’d argue M+ is hampering class design a lot as well. You can’t have all 39 specs shine in a niche activity that is 5 man MMO content.
