Wondering if players can get credit for killing open world named quest mobs if they’re in a raid. Was in the Orc starting area waiting to kill Sarkoth and asked around but no one was willing to try and risk missing their chance at tagging it.
You don’t get credit for quests while in a raid unless the quest is specifically marked as being a raid quest.
The only documentation on found on it says you don’t get credit for most quests. Do you know for sure only raid quests count?
Also an easy way to test might be just get yourself and someone else with the quest in a 2-person goup, convert to raid, kill the thing, see what happens. I’m pretty sure you get nada. And since you get nada that way, you might try again but disband the party after you and the other person tag and before the kill, to see what happens then. (Most likely whoever tags after disband gets the kill there, but not sure.) Last option is maybe try the quest at 1am.
Unless they changed it the raid available quests were labeled with a raid tag in the quest log none of the others would give credit while in a raid. Killing Nathanos Blightcaller for the alliance would be one of those as I recall.
