I actually discovered this while playing Counter-Strike 2.
My FPS was unusually low, so i opened Task Manager and there it was right at the top… Raider io using over 50% of my CPU. I end task on Raider io, and Counter-strike 2 went back to silky smooth frame rate.
I now realise this has been a source of my FPS woes in WoW too. I was doing Ecodome Aldani m+ today and FPS was bad. Once again I open task manager and Raider io was hogging my CPU. I end task on it… WoW is buttery smooth again.
I don’t want to stop using it, and have reached out to Raider io who have responded respectfully once so far, saying it isn’t normal and asking about my PC.

I never used to get this problem with Raider io desktop program so I wonder what has changed?
This forum is for troubleshooting issues players encounter with crashes or installation of the WoW client with other players, so this post is very off-topic. You can discuss addons in UI and Macro but the desktop client should be discussed with the creator of the application.
Well, obviously, at Raider.io, since the application isn’t actually part of WoW. But checking in for user input at the Macro and UI forum is valid.
Whereas the Tech Support forum is very low on random user participation and is very narrowly focused on diagnosing issues with the WoW client and computer system and network issues that affect the WoW client.
But of course, unless you’re a forum regular, you can’t realistically be expected to know that in advance.
