RAIDERIO Ruining game

yeah I dont have this issue and I barely do Mplus as I dont enjoy it I do my 1 plus 10 a week and its usually atal or under as they are fastest to get done and I never have an issue getting accepted to a group? and my IO would be 400 at best im guessing as I dont use the addon at all

I get rejected from low level stuff too sometimes - usually it’s because the key holder is a carry though. Io is pretty good at exposing that (#of completed is a good indication - especially when the carry has like a +17 randomly but only completed 1-2 +15’s)

As a newbie tank who started doing 10+ keys recently, I can tell you my experience and say this.

RaiderIO is not bad.

At lower Level keys before +10, raiderIo represents Gear score, gear level for that character pretty much. There can be some exceptions but generally RaiderIO = how much geared the character is.
It’s true the player can be very good and know how to play their class and know the dungeon very well, but it is also true people not doing well simply because they are not geared enough.

Also it has been my experience, low level keys below +10, people look at Gear iLvL more than RaiderIO. I think the only people who care for the RaiderIO are people doing 10+ keys.

When I started tanking again in season 3 with 405 iLvL, I had a hard time tanking even +7, but now that I am 430+, +10, +11, +12 feels like cake walk. I think the breaking point for me was iLvL 420 for +7.+8,+9 and 430 for 10+

It does nothing of the sort, it only tells you what keys have been completed by groups they were part of. That doesn’t tell you if they were top DPS, garbage fire DPS, or if they even understand the mechanics. I’ve had a 12k io tank position Rezan way out in the open with no nearby cover to break LoS, I’ve had 15k io DPS insist on pushing their AoE to the max on bursting weeks, and I’ve had a 14k io healer who didn’t heal anyone and blamed everyone else when they, the healer, pulled a bunch of adds. I’ve also had 600-800 io groups go through +10 dungeons like a freight train crushing everything in our path without effort.

IO tells you what the player has been present for, NOT what they are capable of. It’s a participation trophy, nothing more.

If this is who you are trying to get into +10s on then no wonder, you only have 411 ilvl, thats garbage

I only have 700 score and I can do +13s no problem

I saw this posted one day and it got a serious chuckle out of me:

The RaiderIO score to RL conversion chart:

Super Low Score = Social life, Wife, Kids, Rent and full time job
Reg Low Score = Social Life, GF/BF, Rent and full time job
Med Score = Limited Social life, Rent and full time job
High med score = No Social life, Rent and full time job
High score = No Social life, No Rent and part time job
Super High Score = No Social life, No Rent and No job.

Disclaimer: The following has the same amount of general accuracy as Raider IO has for actual player skill. It’s not always right, but it’s right a lot of the time.

I am the odd case
Check my RaiderIO

This DK is my alt and it has only 427 iLvL because of the 385 & 400 iLvL trinkets, all other pieces are around 430 iLvL range.

504 RaiderIO score but I am good enough to tank and make +10 Freehold to +12, 25:46 done with pug and 27:04 for +11 Atal’Dazar, also done with a pug.

It would be dereliction of duty if I did not.

I’ve noticed a majority of people complaining about IO tend to be DPS, too. Unfortunately, for every one tank or one healer, there’s dozens upon dozens of DPS looking for groups. If you’re low ilvl, lack enchants/gems, or low IO score, you’re going to get benched. People can pick the best of the best DPS because there are so many to choose from, they can take their time looking around. Healers and tanks are in high demand, so they find groups a little easier.

Unfortunately, unless you actually work on your character, OP, and work with your own keys, you’re going to have a hard time keeping up with other DPS because you’re a dime a dozen.

Yea…welcome to being a dps. If you want instant invites, learn to tank.

IO is generally fairly accurate in the vast majority of situations.

OK, I’ll tank…but just remember when you see the mountain of corpses of dps who pulled early…and the other mountain of dead gnomes…just cause… That you in fact asked for this day!

The horrors that shall unfold! muhahahahmuahahhahaahahamuahhahahah (clears flem) muahahahahahhaahHUAHAHAHA!!!

Tbf, I’ve only experienced a dps pull intentionally one time in any key I’ve ever been in. They generally realize they will die if they pull in m+.

HEY now, I’m trying to go on a mad tyrannical rant and your just spoiling it with your logic! How dare you good sir, using logic like that, logic has no place in GD, how could you!

Good day! (huffs and walks away)

It’s not the add-on.

  1. It’s the game design that encourages rushing through content repeatedly to get loot over anything else.

  2. It’s the players who like this game design and just want easy loot.

I don’t know who told you that BfA’s gear inflation et al had anything to do with gearscore… but that is a silly conclusion.

The only reason it was added in was to appeal as a Skinner’s Box.

Gear as a dopamine fix.

And nobody has ever gated anyone out of content.
Players have -always- been free to make their own groups.

And other players have the right to decide who they want in their groups.

This entire thing of “Blizz, Billy won’t play with me! Fix it!” mindset is so absolutely inane.

It’s been a thing since day one. On Illidan in Classic I knew a ridiculously awful healer. Whenever he pm’d me for UBRS invites if I was advertising I ignored his message. I was never in a run with him that went pleasantly and I kept thinking “Maybe he improved, maybe he actually realizes Shadow Word Pain doesn’t do damage now.” Nope, people died and he was trying to add to the DPS saying it was more effective to kill things before he needed to heal.

Very few people actually played with this guy on our server because he was notoriously bad.

It is, and it’s largely why we have LFD. One argument for it was always dead servers which made sense. The other was people who were blacklisted on populated servers complained nobody wanted to take them to heroic dungeons because they were just terrible players either in performance or personality.

Blizzard eventually realized that just forcing people into groups and making them miserable was a bad idea so they made content that was harder so they could justify making their arrangements around pre-formed groups. This came with the natural checks on their performance imposed by the other players.

Bottom line is this. Some people are so terrible at this game they will never see a group unless there is no way they can be denied from a party by the game forcing you into it and it being so simple that your own shortcomings won’t be noticed. This is why the forums cried about Cata heroics, because they weren’t really good players and when the content wasn’t a snoozefest people immediately began identifying the weakest links of the chain and would replace them or tell them they needed to be better if they were going to down the content as a team. It was such a rare event to see randoms who knew what they were doing that I recall in Tolvir actually getting praised when the party leader threw a star on something and it was immediately sapped when I saw the icon.

OK, I feel what you just said was silly. Does that feel nice to have your opinion dismissed like that?

Yeah both chemicals in the brain associated with good feelings. I think you just dismissed me and said what I said over again.

Many players get gated out of content every day, But I guess they don’t exist because they inconvenience your personal narrative. Why yes we can always make a group…but here is a secret they don’t tell you…listen closely. IF YOUR A DPS you will always be standing behind the WHIMS of the TANK or HEALER. Most of the players to get locked out are in fact DPS. And YES we are a dime a dozen spec, but lord forbid we actually play what we want during our free time.

If they are a tank or healer… you forgot that.

Welp we told you guys about the problem. That didn’t seem to help much. I mean look at your answers… yess sir I think we gotta go to the guy above you now.

I dont have a problem with grievous. Sometimes I even forget its grievous.
