Streamers are the best helpers. I used to tank for a few carrying viewers and it not an issue if they didnt have an IO but at least had some gear to survive. We would carry keys all day long dropping back to 10 but did a few higher if we got a well geared carry ( winning viewer).
This late in the expansion if you queue as a DPs it is hard to get into groups because most people applying has high ilvls and high raiderios. Best thing you can do is get those friends of yours who plays “16 hours a day” and form a m+ group yourself. It’s stupidly easy to boost your key to a 10+ you don’t even need to do skips for a key as low as a 10+ anyway.
Somehow I don’t think that triggers anyone, it just leads them to think you’re terrible
Raider IO score and the "GOGOGO " mentality has ruined a good portion of wow and turned it into a massive gotta go fast game simulator. Which in turns makes people more bitter and less helpful. If you slow them down, or they get dazed when about to take off on their flying mount they will get triggered.
I made it to 900 for the first time and still get rejected for 10s. Disgusting
I’m 3k and get rejected for 10s. Every key that’s listed has like 20 people signing up in the span of 30 seconds. More people are gonna get rejected than invited.
Don’t take it personally.
Continue to report them all as advertisements. Because they are it’s a third party site…
You know melee dps is the most common role, and paladins the most common class? Why would anyone take you unless you stand out?
Grow a pair. Tank for instant invites.
Oh but it does. It dooooooeeeessss
Just go prot and you wont have to worry about an IO score
To be fair, you have 3 pieces of gear under 400 and an io score under 200. No matter how good a player you might be…that’s going to look like a carry to anyone.
More than likely you are just a troll because you have no raid boss kills, a horrible IO, an HoA level that shows you are either new or haven’t tried, 3 blue items and haven’t completed a run over a +5 even tho you talked about (possibly lied about) a +9
I feel this case is closed, quit feeding the troll.
Person who plays a dps main on a class that can tank complains about getting declined for groups and blames it on raider IO.
Almost like dps is the most common role in the game. So just on that alone it is going to be rare that you get accepted instantly. And depending on the modifier, you don’t want too much melee anyway (quaking for example).
why do you make assumption that I need to be “carried” my hunter does 30k dps for her 424 item level. Don’t assume “people want to get carried” when you have no prove who really wants to be carried. I’ve been in groups with crazy well geared people who died to bad every pull
Okay?
If you’re that good than you should have -no- problem running your own keys or finding a regular group to run with.
The first thing the group leader will look at is you current ilevel. A 411 is not going to get into a 10. Raderio has nothing to do with not getting an invite.
Your ilevel is displayed by the LFG tool.
Again with this…
If you just want to vent, it’s ok i understand that.
This will not change, it won’t be blocked, it’s just a tool that simplifies information available to everyone.
Claiming r-io is ruining the game is extreme. Yes, people abuse it, as any other tool that provides some easier way of acomplishing goals.
But as with any other system in the game, and in life, there are ways one can avoid the headaches of being segregated because of some arbitrary score that does not prove accurately one’s skill.
Maybe having 1.5k score tells there’s a higher chance of timing a key, but that’s not really 100% true, same as someone with low 500-700 score could be someone just starting to play, wich doesn’t make them bad.
I have been in that situation before. What did i do? a mix of everything.
Can’t get a group to accept me? Will push my own key.
Don’t like pugs? Will prioritize playing with known players from guild and communities.
Don’t have time to search for groups? Simply won’t do a key. If i don’t have time once a week to do keystones why would i need the rewards? it’s only gear and AP.
If i only have time to raid weekly and can’t do other stuff, it’s enough to gear and level AP to stay relevant.
I have also suffered because of io scores, but i’ve realized there’s no point in trying to fight it. The same has happened before with several other systems, and after “the fix” players always find a new metric to score players, so there’s no point.
Gear is not the reward for playing the game, doing the content is…
People like you don’t realize that sometimes even 2600+ io players apply to 10 keys.
Sometimes they are bored.
Sometimes they are just seeing the dungeon for that week before they push their own high key.
Sometimes they are just wanting a low stress key.
You guys really blow out of proportion not getting into keys without realizing how many people apply to keys.
In a span of about 60 seconds, I can get 20+ DPS players and 7+ healers applying to my key.
Of course I’m going to pick the path of least resistance of taking 2700+ players to a 10 key.
I disagree with this statement. My score is 1027, and the only +10s I get invited to are the ones where the leader doesn’t care if we make time. Every other time I apply, even groups that only need DPS, I sit until my timer completely runs out without getting an invite, even though I have the score for a 10 and only have 3 dungeons I haven’t done a 10 on yet.
Because you’re a 1k non meta dps dude. There are a ton of better applicants. That’s just how it works. Have you ever actually made your own key run? Its swarmed by mostly qualified dps immediately.
And that is your problem and people with high IO are not playing 16 hours a day, it’s a straw man argument and it’s a bad one.
If you are not god awful, you can easily get to like 1600ish through pugging. Do a few a week and your score will keep climbing. I found myself kinda capped at 1800 mostly because I don’t play much ATM, not many high keys in que and I feel like 18 level keys are very rarely in LFG.
Blaming a add-on that literally shows your experience is just to mask the real reason you can’t get into keys
“I don’t play much and I don’t want to put in the effort like every other high IO person has already done”
People don’t push keys for 16 hours a day, people have jobs, school and families and they still have a high IO just because they put the effort in. I work 40 hours a week and support my wife who is paying off her student loans. I still got keystone master in every season of BFA. We are having a kid in April.
Will I play less? Definitely
Can I find 45 mins every other day to run a key to push for keystone master? Definitely
Don’t blame a add-on that shows other players experience represented by a number because you are either too busy, lazy or just bad to work your score up.
