Raider.io now blizzard supports bullying

This alone is the answer and reason why all players should have the opportunity for the best gear. I can’t even stress this enough so scroll up and give Monsterskill’s comment a like.

Class and spec balance this expansion are some of the worst they’ve ever been and player perception is incredibly harsh. Try being a non-meta spec like enh shaman or bm hunter or mistweaver and see what your experience is like. Sure, you can grind your way up, but there are giant hurdles in the way compared to rolling out the red carpet for Vdh, fire mage and Hpally.

Except, uh, it wasn’t? Don’t like raiding? Well you have no end-game progression in classic, TBC, or WOTLK.

Isn’t it ironic that for all their talk of wanting a more competitive game, they also refuse to do one of the few things that would make it so? lol

same with paying a top guild - but without the paying.
win-win.

I made a post about standardizing gear for Rated pvp recently.

It’s a long post, but the main point was that every other game in the esports scene is absolutely balanced. Everyone in LoL starts with the same amount of gold. Everyone in Counterstrike starts out with the same budget. Everyone in StarCraft starts with the same amount of resources.

WoW tries to be “competitive” but continues to design the game to give drastic inherent advantages/disadvantages before the game even starts.

Dunning-Kruger is a helluva drug

Those are all lobby pvp games. None of them are mmorpgs. The Division and EfT are examples of open world games that have loot. Both give advantages to geared players.

There is no question that the current system is not implemented well. But you are in the wrong game genre to advocate that time investment/ character progression should not impact gameplay.

Lol.

There is no way WoW will ever be taken seriously as a competitive game if it isn’t even an even playing field.

And it fails as an MMO due to not being inclusive and focusing only on dungeon and raid stuff rather than building a world.

It is failing at everything.

Yes, lets complain about something not implemented yet. You’re overreacting.

It’s plenty inclusive. It has several gearing options. This is how i see it. Introverts who are scared of rejection are complaining about this because it means they face criticism of their own abilities. The same people who dislike IO are the same ones who refuse to join a guild, wont make friends and otherwise just wont socialize at all. It’s not a solo game. You can certainly play it as one and everytime mythic Xrealm opens up you can even reach the highest tiers but its not supposed to be an RPG, its MMORPG.

lol I’ll remind you that most gamers are exactly that class of people you are describing with such disdain. And most of them have left. I can’t even imagine how I would sell SL to someone at this point. What could they hope to experience by playing?

SL is objectively a terrible game, and most of us are still here only in memory of a better iteration and in hopes that the WoW team puts out something better.

I wouldn’t mind it, to be honest. Won’t lie, I get kind of annoyed having to check a 3rd party site for information beyond what details gives. Not even for groups just for checking personal information.

More information is always good information when you’re learning and fine-tuning.

All good and all from both point of views and I understand where y’all are coming from, however, if you make your own group and someone who’s in your said group does not like your or the rest of the groups performance, they could easily rage quit and ruin your first point you’ve suggested, as we all know, making your own group weather it’s PUGs, friends or guild is a roll of the dice, not everyone who are friends or guild members are immune to rage quitters. Secondly, “git gud” is a cop out for anyone to tell someone you need to get better, we ALL do weather is gear or IO score. Just because someone is under performing to YOUR standards, does not constitute that YOU are better than them.

Players can be declined for many reasons, not just IO alone. Heck, in BFA, at 2100 IO with AOTC and KSM, I was being declined from 16/17’s not because I wasn’t “gud”, they probably didn’t need a BM Hunter.

The stigma of players of not being able to get into keys because of gear, IO, achieves or whatnot, is what the “community” fostered as a toxic environment for IO, not the individual. They are just trying to play the game just like everyone else, IO elitist’s make it that much more difficult weather you make your own group or not.

Yes i know, I am introverted as hell but i don’t let it ruin my online fun.

The game…? Do you think i started legion timing 18s as an off meta spec? Nope, barely did my KSM. Do you think i started legion killing Mythic EN? hell no. I don’t think my first Mythic experience was till… Nighthold?

You have to want to get better. If you expect everything to be given to you, you will never grow. I know demo warlock almost as well as the back of my hand. I can still improve. Know your class, get rotation addons for help.

How well do you know your spec?

SL is not objectively terrible, it has thing’s id change sure but its not terrible.

You aren’t getting better. They change the game every expansion and mess with the classes and relative balance. There’s an illusion of progress, but really it isn’t there. You can’t really improve your choice reaction time, which is the core skill of WoW. The rest is just knowledge of the current iteration of classes and bosses.

Oh I’m sorry. I forgot WoW isn’t a lobby PvP game.
Scrolls through group finder for hours and queues sitting in Orgrimmar

Citation?

No, Io what it does is allow group leaders to invite the right people suited for the run, its nothing personal against you.

I disagree entirely. You forgot dungeon layout, trash pulls, knowing which trash has a priority interrupt can make or break a key. Drain fluids for example on NW MUST be kicked or ur gonna have a bad time. How many people complaining about IO even know that about it? Or are aware there is more out there to learn?
