Sunday’s abit late?

LOL at your io score. Apparently whatever you did worked within 2 hours time

Possibly the greatest stealth brag I have seen

yup the problem is game design that creates this situation, not the people doing whatever is selfishly best for themselves. That’s to be expected.

its just super easy shortcut endgame developing that comes at minimal cost for them

Someone’s pretty bored today.

I don’t know, I agree with the OP. I think Raider IO has ruined Mythic+. I totally stopped doing them since I got tired of being turned down. So maybe you think it hasn’t ruined Mythic+, but for those of us who have to pug them, it totally has ruined it and definitely caused there to be a much smaller pool of players playing Mythic+.

Immediately checked the OP’s armory when I was reading their post.

Nice bait.

I run my own keys and it’s usually far more hit then miss. The idiots I meet usually end up on my ignore list and while sometimes it costs me a key I do not mind. Usually I get great people though and while IO is not the final word for me I do use it.

The only M+ I get accepted into is Tol Dagor. I need gear, and I also need to pug when my guildmates can’t queue with me. But I also carry the group apparently with single target and AoE as an assassination rogue when I do get accepted into the Tol Dagor pugs.

And when my guild finally could manage the time for me, the three that we did? Not a single piece from the first two, and got something I didn’t need from the third. It was a big waste of time for me, and it didn’t improve my IO score except maybe by 100. It’s ridiculous.

Odds are if I have completed a 9+ in time in the hard ones during hard weeks, odds are I can complete something equivalent for another dungeon in the next week or so. It honestly makes me embarrassed to play a rogue because really? This is my worth? Tol Dagor…

(This char is named different and on another server and is 120, but the armory hasn’t updated in a couple of months and won’t let me change to that character so I guess this looks bad lol)

M+ ruined M+:

It is a very stupid concept. I originally heard about Mythic, assuming that each Mythic + was harder.

Then I found out that each Mythic plus is just faster, as in you have to beat a faster timer?

At that point, it just sounds incredibly stupid.

So Raider IO grew out of that, a player’s desire to figure out a way to see how people had succeeded at the faster content (which would therefore guarantee a higher chance of success.)

I don’t even do that content, but it makes total sense for such a tool to exist. The content is just so incredibly lame and dumb, that people are going to come up with stuff like that.

Raider IO didn’t kill mythic plus, players did.

I advertised a +10 on these forums, and you know how many replied?

That actually wanted to do the run?

I doubt raider io is the problem.

Even boosted 1k io players make my poor dk and priest alts keys a nightmare sometimes.

The timer does not change. The damage/health multiplier goes up and affixes are added at a few thresholds. You really shouldn’t bother commenting on Mythic+ as a system if you’ve never touched it and don’t know how it works.

There are really only 2 reasons you are getting declined. You haven’t done the prerequisite M+ levels to build your score or people have higher requirements higher than required to complete the content. To fix the first issue, you need to progress through every dungeons M+ levels. Build that score. To solve the second problem you need to run your own keys. If you dont wanna be picky about the people you are inviting you can invite the first 4 people to queue up. You can easily fill up to a +6 without much trouble or time investment. Unfortunately you can’t fix the people component directly. If you can’t, wont, or dont wanna do what is required to advance up the M+ ladder then there really isn’t any hope for you. M+ isn’t for you. Oh and about getting declined often, that is also a you a problem. Dps is dime a dozen. Assuming you are doing this on your hunter, it’s no wonder you get declined. There are meta classes and you aren’t one. Once again, this is a people problem that is resolved by running your own key.

Edit: Dunno why the quite thing screwed up…

Is there a M+ copypasta that I missed? Why are any of you responding to this?

You mean saving? Because I wouldn’t bother trying to pug anything over a 7 or 8 without it. The score isn’t made up just because you don’t understand what it means. It’s the best way we have to see general experience at a glance.

They really should have an automated way to run keys - nobody would force anyone to use it. At least it would bring “more” people into the pool once they start running a few m+ and see that they really aren’t that bad.

The best thing about a random m+ system would be that they could punish people for leaving a m+ and/or refill once it happens.

Wait, you are telling me that someone who has several 20+ mythic keys completed on their armory page and is rocking an over 2k IO score is having trouble finding groups?

The problem has never been with IO, it is with the demands people think they need to complete an instance. It isn’t any different than when people wanted AToC for invites to heroic raids. The real problem is you are running most often as a DPS class and that pull is pretty full, even at your rating. People can be picky and look for the best fit. Nothing to do with your score, because you have an insanely high one.

Only thing that is really stupid about Raider IO is how the community uses it. If I am running a +10 TD then I would want someone who has experience with reaping in TD.

If your only +10 experience is in WM for example that tells me nothing about your experience. Also people assume that means you know what bolstering does.

Some people have the advantage of logging in day 1 of a season boosting their score on a character then not coming back but have access to whatever they want.

In my opinion Raider IO should degrade if you are not current. It ensures that you are up to date with the changes to instances and updates.
