Simmed myself recently because I haven’t done so in a while, and I was shown some confusing results for both Demo and Destro. All instances have int displayed as my highest stat, followed by crit. Furthermore, haste is shown as my worst or second-worst stat for both specs in both single target and AoE.
I was under the assumption that Haste was almost always king, especially as Demo on single target. Am I wrong?
There are 2 factors that need to be taken into account when simming:
The importance of stats is dynamic meaning that it changes according to your current gear. Haste is relatively the best secondary stat for destruction but if you have 30% haste for ex. and 13% crit, the latter will take over. Intellect is almost always top priority.
If you’re simming for raid targets and you have a piece of azerite gear from uldir equipped, raidbots assumes reorigination array stacks are present and boosts your highest secondary stat accordingly. For example a 17% haste will become 28% with 10 stacks of reorigination array and the sim will give priority to another secondary stat.
Now with the gear shown on your profile, the results you mention don’t make sense indeed but I guess what’s there is slightly outdated.
I came here for the same reasons. My results came back just as yours did. I’m concerned that following them as it says Haste is my worst stat now, will end up with a massive loss of haste. I’m not sure how to get more accurate results.
I think that people usually are now just simming for top Gear and ignoring stat priority. Try Raidbots.
If you have haste RA it might change the results. It’s not a good idea to sim your stats on raidbots in general. Just use top gear or go off of icy-veins stat priority.
