As topic says i am asking how you set up raidbot when you try to sim yourself.
Do you use too gear or something else?
Which kind of fights do you use (patchwork, dungeon slice beta etc)?
How long?

Depends what you’re simming for.
I sim for m+ and to check rotations. So my sims are unbuffed, with just whatever buffs my class brings. So if i’m simming my mage i’d add arcane intellect, weapon oil and a food buff.
I have a few sims I run, but the two most common are:
- Patchwork, 1 target, 3 minute fight (boss or single target sim).
- Patchwork, 5 target, 40 second fight (mythic+ AOE sim).
You’ll want to use Top Gear sims to find out your highest dps gear. Then, once in your best gear, you can run stat weight sims to be able to judge what items are upgrades etc. Can use the Pawn addon for this.
The main purpose of my sims is to make sure I can hit the numbers on target dummies, and fix any totational issues if not.
I need the simm to max my dps in M+ cause i am not raiding.
A friend told me to use dungeon slice 1 boss 3 mins.
Another is using Ectic cleave and also patchwork fight.
I am going to try your set up for ST and for M+.
Isn’t this only Single Target with no movement? Doesn’t seems a bit impossible as scenario in M+?
Those sim types are a waste of time for m+.
The sims I mentioned are the ones a lot of people use for m+. A single target one for bosses (most bosses are pretty much patchwork if you deal with mechanics well). And an AOE one to simulate trash packs.
Dungeon slice is particularly shunned by pretty much everyone.
