Just curious to see what people will be playing as.
I think Demo seems to be the go to spec. What is your opinion?
Probably going demo most of the time and mix destro in occasionally in pve. I don’t care much for aff playstyle but may give it some run in pvp.

Destro 1 trick. Not a fan of Soul Fire, but still my jam.

Demo and Destro.
I’m always like “I’ll play whatever is best for the encounter” but then just default back to Destro because I’m old and remember that I don’t actually like sweating too hard.
Not that Aff and Demo are all that difficult to play by any means, we’ve just been playing basically the same Destro since WoD (or Legion, I guess) so there’s a lot of muscle memory that I don’t have to think about.

I really don’t find either of the specs outside Destro enjoyable.
Granted, I’ve only dabbled with Demo, but Aff can suck an exhaust pipe until they get rid of MR.

I enjoy when you have to switch specs per boss. Probably gonna have to be Demo for the most part though.
Although post world first tuning could change some things. We’ll have to see.
honestly, all of them depending on the fight. mostly single target fights ill go demo, cleave ill go destro, council ill go afflic

Demo is definetly the fotm spec. I dont how much of that it fighting for externals, or if its liable to get kneecapped like affliction in Nathria. For now Im just cruising with destro for familiarity until tuning pass.

Seeing how Netherportal is completely bonkers imma give demo a go… unless they decide to nerf it to the ground for being useful
It’s looking like demo for every fight except kureg grimtotem (destro) and if they buff aff you could run it for primal council. Also could see aff for the spider boss as the amount of movement in that fight makes demo or destro hard to play
you really dont have a choice if you want to help to progress your guild, demo its the only one option you really have.
it seems like demo is kind of favored in most of the fights. I still don’t like the netherportal build for whatever reason but I guess right now I just have to accept the bottom of the demo tree just isn’t my favorite.
Traditionally speaking, lock gets beaten by the nerf belt in the opening tier. Affliction was killed for PI synergy in nathria, its already likely demo and uh dk will be the best pi targets exept demo is forecasted as top tier. Im not saying its going to happen, im just saying the parallels are there and can’t help but wield caution
The specs aren’t that far apart for even this to matter unless you are in a HoF competing guild but the trickle down effect to more casual guilds and pugs is quite annoying.
I am still playing Affliction this first week of raid.
yeah, what you said is true if at least 10k difference in dps dont botter you in single target.
