You could absolutely do it without raiding gear, you just had to not suck.

Laughable and wrong. Yes it could be done, but ALL five players in your party had to not suck and had to already have good dungeon gear. Seems like a no brainier now but 13 years ago most wow players sucked.

I’m sure - but that doesn’t make the assertion that it can be done in dungeon gear just fine “laughable” or “wrong” which is what we were discussing.

No, I wasn’t an “elite” player or anything at that point - hence being in dungeon gear. It’s perfectly doable for non-raiders, that’s the entire point of it.

I’m too lazy to look it up, but I remember the rogue set being. fairly decent - particularly set bonuses?

Without crunching the actual numbers of a pre-raid BiS I do have to admit it’s fairly solid in raw stats and about 25% less effective less effective than Bloodfang.

The set bonus is without a doubt fairly strong but whether it makes up for having to scrounge other stats i personally doubt it.
