Raid vs Campaign

Is there an indication of where the raid fits canonically against this main story questline? Completing the campaign today certainly made it seem like all issues are resolved.

Not clear if they indicate if the raid is like “clean up” or if it happened during the campaign and its just a game mechanic it was released later?

Far from it… it’s more like the close of the opening act. Xal’s still out there for starters.

This is actually the ideal moment to take out Queen Ansurek, as Xal’atath is going to be preoccupied trying to repair the Dark Heart and much of the Nerubian army has been wasted as part of Xal’s actual goal of harnessing mortal negativity as a power source.

It also would explain why Xal’atath isn’t able to swoop in and save her Nerubian allies, if the raid takes place after the campaign.

Yeah Ahz-kahet is definitely just a pawn. Whatever Xal’atath needed from the Nerubians she’s probably already got and now their only purpose is to keep the Alliance and Horde spinning their wheels while sh plans her next move and thinks of new ways to sexually harass Alleria.

What she needed was their blood splattered all over Khaz Algar and fueled with Rage so that she could draw it into herself for the sake of her interpretation of the prophecy that says a Primal Power that seeks the end of Order exists and that it’s Rage can be harnessed for the Void’s ends.

She made a mistake in assuming it was the Black Blood when infact it was Iridikron due to Iridikron having a Cold Rage rather than a Hot Rage.

In any case the Dark Heart is broken awaiting the taking once Xal’atath realizes the thing is worthless to her and discards it while trying to figure out the Void Prophecies as whoever takes the Dark Heart uses it to complete the Awakening of the Blind Queen with the Scepter of Bone that Il’gynoth prophesized about.

Once the Blind Queen is revived Azshara(who probably already figured out how things will go) will grab the Dark Heart for herself due to it’s vast Arcane.

Shadow is bowing out of War Within I suspect with Midnight being Xal’atath’s next scheme as the Blind Queen takes over as Villain of War Within.

Wait time out. When did we hear this prophecy? Was it in DF?

A Song of the Depths in Dragonflight mentions it.

The prophecy is found in the possession of the Naga in the Forbidden Reach.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
No more cosmology! Pleeeeeeeeease! No one even called it “Order” before Dragonflight! Why can’t we just hard retcon all of Shadowlands already?! Why can’t we let Danuser’s memory die?!

I demand answers for the slap in the face of khadgar return. Like the jailer death all over again nothing explained made up as it goes

Ceylan talks about it in another thread.

I’m dumbfounded about how people still demand answers for things that the game readily gives them. Just shows that the average person doesn’t read quest texts or listens to the various Stay a while and listen that are everywhere in TWW
