The default interface’s Raid Self Highlight feature appears to barely function. It rarely activates at all, having made an appearance in maybe 1-out-of-10 or fewer raid settings I’ve zoned into since enabling the feature. Additionally, the few instances in which it did work, it was prone to suddenly stopping if any UI interactions occured (reloading, relogging, even toggling unrelated Interface options).
I’ve tested it in multiple raids using all three options (Circle, Outline, Circle & Outline), toggled it on/off mid-raid, and even experimented with graphics options such as Outline Mode and changing the Graphics API, all without effect.
Prior discussion on this topic exists but is limited, so it’s understandably not the most pressing issue and many players who seek this functionality are likely turning to add-ons for it. Still, it has the potential to be an incredibly useful and practical in-game visibility perk and deserves a more functional state than this, if possible!
