I was doing some mythic +s today and a few days ago was pug raiding only to consistently lose out on loot that was my bis.
I get it, we raid for the experience and not the loot which i find to be bs. We raid for loot.
So my suggestion is how about if you lose out on loot in raid, you instead of getting that trinket or tier piece you need when we loot the boss we can get a token:
You have a chest token
Weapon token
Leg token
Glove token
Shoulder token
Helmet token
Other token for trinket/ring/cloak/belt
It takes 2 tokens for your other pieces
3 tokens for your tier gear
And if you dont need anymore gear you can exchange the tokens for a upgrade token to upgrade your gear instead of farming crests. Keep the flightstones for currency but now the tokens is your BLP (bad luck protection).
Final boss drops your weapon token incase you lose it but takes 3 kills to get your bis weapon
3kills for tier piece
So all in all it would stay takes weeks to fully gear up in a raid group but you atleast get something. That bis trinket would take 2 weeks.
Just my 2 cents.
Or they could just stop being assinine and give you a boss token that you can use to buy any loot off that bosses loot table from a vendor. So you can target your gear specifically.
Iâm so tired of world of casinocraft to keep me on some hamster wheel. Iâd probably be more inclined to play alts if gearing up was more rewarding.
Pvp has it. Not sure why we need some weird rush of raritizing certain pieces of gear to the point of scarcity.

Its been casinocraft since day 1 when wow launchedâŠthe old system is played out though, wows the only game with this crap system of gearing.
Ff14 has gear vendors that require tokens from raids and works just fine.
Let mythic + keep its rng system,âŠ
I dont know this whole mythic + and raid gearing is a complete mess.
Have mythic + give out currency that is used to buy specific gear that is only meant for mythic +

No. Assinine also, no offense. All aspects of the game need modernized to reflect reward for effort.
Iâd rather get currency off m+ and buy my gear. It used to be that way in wotlk with justice points and valor points and vendors. I loved it back then.
FF14 canât be compared to wow. The two games are way to different gameplay and community wise.
Gearing arguably the best it has ever been. My rogue started at 415 Ilvl from S1 and in 2 weeks I got her up to 484 Ilvl with all of my portals unlocked. Itâs not a mess at all.
This is just the Dinar system without calling it the Dinar system and Blizzard has stated on multiple interviews that they do not want this in the regular game

Newer FFXIV raids give you tokens for pieces.
Some of you love this rng system we have now and thats fine. You do you.
But wow needs to change and evolve and become better.
But raiding and doing dungeons only to leave with nothing but a spark of dream and crests/flightstones is degrading mentally and needs to be fixed.
