I have a Raid loot question
I’ve been chasing the trinket from the lass boss.
I clear LFR/Normal every week
Current progression 5/8 heroic. ( will probably be 6/8 tonight)
My Vault is now being replaced by Raid heroic gear, does that mean i no longer have a chance on getting the last boss trinket in my vault just because i got those vault slots full on a different difficulty?
Your vault loot is generated based off of the content that you’ve done, in a numerical value.
What you get in the vault is based off of the entire loot pool that you have access to for whatever spec you first open the vault as. Meaning you can get stuff in your vault that you’ve never actually cleared before.
For example: I got my 4P Hero tier just by doing Delves, even though I’ve only ever done the first couple parts of the raid in LFR.
Well tier pieces are different, you can get those from any content, But what if i have 3 vault turn into heroic loot, could i get the trinket from the last boss in the raid on heroic vault even tho i never cleared her ?
As far as I’m aware Blizzard has never clarified this but the consensus in the community is that this is correct. With the exception of tier pieces, the raid section of GV will only give pieces from bosses that you have killed at least once (or skipped over) at that difficulty.

Correct. You can only get items from bosses you have killed on the difficulty the vault is awarding, with the exception of tier pieces.
Incorrect. It goes based on the highest boss you’ve killed in that difficulty, at least once.
So for instance, say you’ve gotten normal queen down but not heroic queen down, but you’ve killed every other boss in heroic.
Your vault next week is 1 slot heroic, 1 slot normal, 1 slot LFR.
The first slot can contain loot from every boss except queen. The last 2 slots will be able to contain loot from any boss.
Well this sucks, so if i wanted LFR Queen/ Normal queen = 2 chances of the trinket to drop + Vault = 3 chances : total of 5 chances/ week but now I’m down to 2 chances because I’m progressing in heroic … I feel like I’m getting punished, maybe they should have different difficulty rows for loot in the vault ?
well thats interesting so its actually worth buying a carry if you never killed queen?
