Raid loot and abondonera

Can we acknowledge that the people who join and leave raid for 1 piece of gear is annoying as heck? Is there a way to fix this so that they need to stay for at least 4 boss’s to prevent that type of behavior in heroic and mythic raids.

Oh look my piece dropped buh bye… especially a healer or a tank is very annoying!

I see you’re in a guild. Have you tried running with them rather than with random strangers whose goals may not align with your own?

So no holding people hostage lol, besides mythic has a lockout anyway

But you can priority invite people who flex role tank/healer so when one leaves a DPS can just swap and you can quickly invite another dps

No.

O well, if people come for one boss they arent forced to stay for others.

Mythic raids aren’t pug-friendly so people would be leaving for more than just getting or not getting the item they are chasing.

The only tried and true way to raid without worrying about pugs ditching is to raid with a guild that doesn’t rely on pugs for anything.

false, even heroic and mythic guilds still have to pug to fill rosters when ppl dont show up. Im not saying its a fix but find a way to gate keep them from just coming in and leaving. spend more time filling the roster then you do raiding imo

Note, I said to avoid the problem is to join a guild that doesn’t need to pug. As in, has a healthy roster. If your guild has to rely on pugging, it doesn’t have a healthy roster. My guild raids mythic, we have people who are unable to make raids every single week but we never bring in blind pugs because we have people who can fill in so the entire raid won’t be canceled because one or even five people can’t make it one night.

If you are in a Guild that requires pugs to fill in gaps constantly, it might as well be a dead Guild that relies too much on too few people. Only have two people capable of tanking in the entire guild? That’s a recipe for a disaster because that makes a situation where one person can shut down raid night for the entire guild or an entire raid week or more, and if it is progression Mythic raiding you will never be able to fill that spot with a Pug.

This is why most people just don’t raid (which is also why it is very hard to find people to fill a raid)

again false on the statement of dead guild. a lot of guild’s raid upwards of 3 times per week for multiple characters. so no not a dead guild.

if you wanna talk about the term dead, look at how many subs blizzard has lost in the last few months due to issues that wont be addressed or fixed. ( but thats another story )

Real mythic guilds do not pug people.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

I am of the mindset that if you queue for an instance, you should complete the run. That’s 100% my opinion.

I don’t believe that it’s holding anyone hostage, especially when you can form a group just for a certain boss. I’ve joined those groups. I see them in the Pre-made Groups section of LFR.

I think it’s silly to wait in a queue, kill one boss, and then leave.

But take comfort in knowing… they have to wait 30 minutes to requeue on that toon. I know it’s not much solace, but it’s some.

Only if they are lacking in players. It’s rare, like unicorn rare, but it does happen.

My former guild…a long long long long time ago, was a raid guild. Unfortunately, when it came time to do the raid, we were coming up against lack of DPS…of all things. I know, that too is rare. Also, didn’t help that our raid leader was a bit brash.

Not to organized guilds.

There’s a difference between a raid guild and an established mythic guild.

Understood, just explaining my experience.

I have had that same experience when I was in entry mythic guilds or heroic guilds wanting to push mythic.

Being in a ce guild now is a night and day difference.

Yeah, I stopped doing mythic when I left that guild. I’m now more of a casual player.

But I still think it’s weird to sit in a queue for 30 or more minutes, kill one boss, loot, and leave. I don’t think that it’s a good enough reason to leave if it’s because you’ve already done the rest of the bosses. You joined the group, knowing that they are more than likely to finish the instance. In my opinion, they’ve queued under false pretences.

But … again… purely my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions.:wink::wink:

no, you can’t shackle people to their desks and force them to play the way you want them to.

however what you can do is make a change yourself - join an organized raiding guild and stop pugging.

Not really, no.

People pug to fulfill individual goals. Not to contribute to the progress of people they don’t intend to rely on in the future.

If you don’t want pugs to leave then don’t invite pugs to the group.

I’ve been GM of a mythic raiding guild since mists. I can count the number of times we’ve pugged with no fingers.
