Blizzard, can you guys give us the Retail raid lockout system already? Allow players to be able to continue a raid lockout later in the week without it affecting other people’s lockouts.
Pretty sure we were supposed to get this with ICC but it never came.
Doesn’t this affect the total amount of loot that can drop per boss?
Like, if you do a 25 man raid, and 24 people have already completed it, there is only 1 person who can have loot drop for them, but if all 25 have not completed can’t they all?
How is this supposed to work for a master-looted GDKP?
Have it so that each boss drops a set number of loot regardless of how many people are eligible for loot.
So, I would only want to go with 24 people who have already gone? Sounds fine to me.
Anyway, it’s interesting that the other poster notes that this is something that was “supposed to happen”:
Is this a thing? Was the some official word that suggested we would be getting this?
i do believe that guy had it wrong an it was supposed to be where you can extend the lockout to the following week so you don’t have to work your way back through the fights again. The lockout system OP is talking bout come’s way later on i think in legion or something.
It came with the cata prepatch, wasn’t in WotLK proper. https://wowwiki-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Patch_4.0.1
It’s not quite as flexible as the retail system, since you can’t join a raid that hasn’t killed a boss you already killed, but at least you can join a new group with equal or greater progress.
Nah I mean I recall the devs saying something about it when ICC was announced or maybe it was something else.
