Raid lockouts & sizes

Hi blizz,

absolutely love the game so far. could we please make gnomer a 20man raid with a 7 day lockout though? we’re trying new things here i understand, but let’s give the more serious players a little breathing room. I don’t wanna burn out raiding on 4 chars before i even hit 60

ty!

Have you tried not raiding so much?

why would u need to raid 4 characters every lockout for a level 25 early testing phase of a project concept?

unless you wanted to ofc, then in that case i don’t see an issue.

learn to pace yourself, there is absolutely no reason to play that much, UNLESS you want to of course which is perfectly fine as well.

i too want gnomer to be 20+ raid size, but sorry to tell you, its going to be 10 man and likely on the same 3 day lockout because they are just copying existing ingame code infrastructure while they focus on other more pressing things such as the new content, the new loot and new class/spec designs and functionality.

i would expect different raid size format that is brand new to the game after w reach level 60. maybe the karazan crypts for example?

No thanks, Stick with the ten mans.

10 mans are peak comfy, until there’s something stupid like a 25 man and a 10 man in the same game.

Nothing was worse than TBC trying to turn your Kara raids into 25 for Gruul, and you needed to figure out what to do with 5 players.

Please No, 10mans on a three day lockout are the best. Dealing with more people is just terrible.

Making changes just for the sweaties is a great way to ruin any game.

10 man, 3 day lockout is fine.

game is super fun, I’m really enjoying it rn but I want a switchup - sometimes the way lockouts fall i’ll raid like 4 times in 2 days

Imagine complaining that you play the game too much.

the early testing phase of a concept is exactly why I want to raid on several chars! I love trying out the new specs and playstyles, maybe because the dungeon is short the 3 day lockout makes more sense? idk we’ll see in new phases i guess

Just don’t raid so much. Phases last a while, right now you see people complaining about having nothing to do. If you want to raid every single lockout bully for you. I have alts that I don’t raid every single lockout, and I’m not overly worried about it. Unless we see an overhaul of loot from the 25-40 dungeons people are going to continue farming BFD for pre gnomer bis even in P2. If anything it will be better since we will probably be doing so with 5 or less people.

idk what this is supposed to mean tbh lol

i do agree with your tbc point tho, breaking down a 25m into 10m raids was a pain - i think keeping it at rounded numbers like 10-20-40 is better in general (though i don’t like the idea of 40m raiding in SoD)

I doubt this is about trying new things, and probably more to do with BFD already having been a 10 man instance, like pretty much all WoW Classic leveling instances.

I’m not sure if the 3 day lockout, which I imagine is the same 3-day reset schedule as ZG and AQ20 has anything to do with raid size, but I could imagine it being the case that we’ll only see 10-man raids on a 3-day reset schedule until later phases at level 60, or if they decide to add new raid instances.

:woman_shrugging:

yeah idk, maybe the solution is to not play as much but that doesn’t feel great - I hope they change up the raid structure for p2

also I hope blizz doesn’t keep bfd open past p1 tbh, I already didn’t like running stuff like BWL or gruul’s for one trinket multiple tiers later

Then don’t run them? Removing content for people that want to do it is a big no no.

this is 100% a you problem

This is just stupid.

Would you pay for a cinema ticket, bring your laptop and just watch youtube videos instead?

The game has a monthly subscription fee. Ofc players are automatically drawn towards finishing the game, intentionally or not.

You realize unless end game is completely changed in SoD that’s what happens at 60?

I just hope if they add 20 mans they dont rid of 10 mans and keep the loot the same. I think one of the great parts about 10 man is that you don’t have to fix to a raid schedule or over commit to a raiding guild and can just casually play with your friends and fill slots as needed.

The larger the raid the more overhead and people who will call out 1 hour before raid begins

yeah I mean it’s obviously a me problem - and I’m offering a suggestion based on what I want to see in the game moving forward lol
