Raid lockout

I was in a BWL on my warrior for all bosses that stopped at Nefarian. The next day in continuation I switched to my druid because we were short on healers. The raid ultimately never filled and was unable to kill any bosses but my druid still got locked to the same raid ID. I feel like I am penalized by trying to help my group because my druid now gets no chance at killing a boss this week. Is there a way that we can not lock toons to raids that kill no bosses? I remember joining raids un ulduar but not getting lockouts when no bosses were killed so I don’t think the warning is sufficient to warn that a toon will get locked out of joining another raid even though he got 0 boss kills.

should of known better

Yeah, I just wish there was a way to be more useful to my team without screwing myself on my second toon. If we got the kill, I’d have been fine with locking both because it would have actually been productive.

all you have to do is not zone in until you’re ready to go knowing it’s an in-progress lockout.

Well, I just didn’t realize it would lock me without killing anything.

It gives you a message when you zone in that you will be locked and you have about a minute to either leave or accept it… unless thats in addon or something… but other than that idk what to tell you.

later (Cataclysm) they learned to display a popup confirming the lock.

for some reason they keep forgetting to implement such common sense game functional things.

as if the popup lockout box is somehow tied to the world and its lore…

I thought it was only if you killed a boss.
