Once you get a raid id are you tied to that one till the reset or can you join another as long it has progressed further?
I thought back in the day you could progress your raidID, (for example only kill 1 boss in mc) then another group later on has 4/8 example) you can join theirs and assume that raid id
Nope, you are locked to that specific ID and what can be worse is anyone who is locked to it with you can advance it and you could be locked to a raid that is fully cleared even though you only personally participated in a single boss. Anyone who is not saved to an ID can join and be saved to your ID so long as you are the leader.

I’m fairly positive, because my old guild called it early on a aq40 event, and the top on the server at that time asked to borrow me for twin emps, and I was able to go and tank it for them.
The only other thing I can think of is the other guild hadn’t a raid ID and used me to to borrow my raid id and then progress it further. It’s been a few years though. So was hoping for clarification, (lots of pug mc’s etc going )
