Raid Kick Message

Raid Kick doesn’t indicate who kicked or why.

I have seen some complaints about kicks, but didn’t indicate by who or why.

Edit: I have seen some scenes where player seemed to be phantom kicked or appeared to leave, but they messaged they didn’t leave and they weren’t kicked.

Im not sure what you’re trying to ask

Requesting message announcement of kicks and why.

Raid kicks are totally anonymous and no reason given.

No group kick tells you who kicked you. You’re just out of the group. One person initiates and others have to agree. So it takes more than one to kick you.

It’s never told you who initiates it. Why should it? So the person can get harassed?

They don’t tell you why for very good reason.

Chances are the message would read “u suk” or something similar. Beyond that, a group doesn’t need a reason beyond not wanting you in the group. This isn’t a grade school playground, other people don’t have to play with you.

Aw hells yeah, a thread complaining about vote kicking that will almost certainly devolve into someone trying to claim that they’re getting kicked regularly but that they’re not the problem.

The thread was asking why we don’t see who initiates the kick.

It always devolves, just wait.

I have seen reason for kick as “TACOS”. I don’t think you want to know you being kick for that.

After a tank kept intentionally wiping an LFR group I put the reason as “I bless the rains down in Africa”, only weirdos actually put the real reason in.

I kick people for fashion reasons. There can be only ONE bamboo hat wearer in the group!

I could have sworn there used to be a function for that, am I wrong?

Obligatory video!

I think there was an add-on to show who was /kicking people from a raid at one time.

I’ve had many an individual blow up my chat in PM flapping their lips at me for them being kicked from a group I’d been in. I make it a point not to kick anyone, unless they’re blatantly afk or being obnoxious.

It legitimately bothers me when someone who is low dps or not following mechanics is kicked from a dungeon (raid is a different story.) I never provide a vote when I see it pop up.

This aside though, if you’re in a raid … generally … the person who kicked you was the one with a crown near their name, or someone who had assist. The exception being if you’re in LFR, because being lead there means squat.

If you’re asking for a que to inform you who kicked you, then you’re out of luck. That’d cause way too much drama for Blizz to have to deal with, outside of the drama they already have to deal with. I mean, they’re literally down to an automated system as it is now.

I remember back in the day, they were all over everything. You said one thing out of turn and you had a blue pm’ing you within minutes.

Maybe there should be a reminder when kicking. Tell player which mechanic they failed. It might tell the player to pay attention to mechanics or show the person who kicked them doesn’t know mechanics.

When a kick message comes up I click yes every time

The only thing this would invite is the ability to retaliate against the person who you deem has wronged you. Let’s not pretend you want this in for any other reason than revenge; you want to be able to harass the person.

99% of the people I’ve seen kicked have been for very legitimate reasons. Let’s not pretend that people just kick or are kicked for no reason. Most people are better than that.
