Joined a normal raid group, got into the raid, they pulled the boss without me in the fight, wiped, I left the group, next pull they kill, now I’m raid locked. How does that even work?
It sounds like you shouldn’t have left.

If you’re in the instance during the pull and your get into combat with the boss (which is likely since raid bosses have a combat radius of like 500 yards), then the game considers that you have tagged the boss and are eligible for loot. However if you bail before the boss dies, you forfeit your entitlement to that loot but you are still counted as killing the boss. Therefore you will not be eligible to loot that boss within the same week until reset occurs. You can however join another group and kill the other remaining bosses and you will still be eligible to loot those.
Unless you’re talking about mythic raids, that’s a whole nother set of rules.

Nah they said normal raid, and now it’s a lesson they have learned, don’t leave once a boss is pulled, you will be eligible no matter where you are in the instance as long as you are in the instance.

Nah if you read, you would see I was completely out of the raid group, before the second pull happened, and I got locked. Thanks for the passive aggressive useless comment!
