In SOD there has been a lot of push and pull when it comes to class balance in terms of raid healing. I am coming at this from the Alliance side and would love to hear the Horde perspective as well. I would love to see some parody in class abilities and maybe uncapping some abilities or reverting some changes.
We can all agree in Phase 3 (Sunken Temple) The Resto Druid was the star of the raid. The Raid wide healing was so good and made the players feel like rockstars. The other healers were then able to dispel and top off as needed. This was nerfed to be a party wide heal. When we got ZG I see our mage healer rocking out. The ability to beacon 4 groups and pump damage and keep up heals is amazing to watch.
Is there a way to look at changing some abilities to allow more healing classes some AOE fun? For instance for Priest, Holy Nova can hit the raid instead of the party. Circle of Healing can be targeted onto a raid member and heal their party. This gives more tools to the priests arsenal. For Paladins, being able to heal the tank and another member is really nice, and if the over-heal can then splash into the group it gives them some AOE love as well. Reverting the druid change as previously mentioned would put them back in the AOE fun.
Just some thoughts, let me know what you all think.
