It would be akin to this idea only because I am moving my gaming time to FF and dont care if WoW burn like Teldrassil and someone salt to stump for it to never grow again.
The problem with it is simple, and the same problem WoW has been having since the new “leadership” got in:
- Disregard that human nature is common to humans, and WoW players are humans.
- Disregard that the game is here not because of what has been done lately, but in spite of that.
This team thinks their changes are the reason wow has not gone down further, and they think what they do is genius. You can see it in their body language over the videos they present things. That is even “crudely” remarked by the many youtubers who show reaction videos in the internet, be it the classic ones (Bellular, Asnogond, Preach) or the ones putting up “some videos” about WoW.
They disregard that some ingrained aspects of human psyche will influence how players behave, and that is like 1.01 from game theory.
To take a “course” on what is that:

Well it technically it is gameplay issue as no one is forced to play with others in order to succeed when they can just buyout for the top stuff.
I’m unsure under what delusion you believe that will ever be a thing, but it’s never going to occur that way.
Not as long as tokens are a thing…Commendable effort though
No,leave the raid gear level alone. It is bad enough wq gear has to be grinded ,let the raiders suffer the after-the- facto.
It was worth a try.
I like your hat by the way.

it’s not. the people who are buying boosts fall into one of two categories:
- people who already play with others, trying to gear alts super fast
- bad players and/or jerks nobody wants to play with, who already don’t form or join groups

How does someone buying a pve carry effect you in any way? It doesn’t.
Seems like you’re just upset that you either don’t have the gold to buy the carries yourself or don’t have the skill to complete the content normally, or both.

I’d be surprised if it was so cut n dry.
I dunno. I’m too cold and sleepy to argue more.
Maybe later.
i hear that. get some rest and fill up on turkey. have a good one!
Ruins the environment I thrive in.
Why would you bother with the long grinds when you can just buy your way out?
People not be strong willed enough to not do it once.
And how much is a run in gold? thousands? in the beginning of the expansion where did this gold come from? A guild let’s it members have this? barrow it?
Yeah, pretty sure it was pay to win.
It seems right now that they’re working pretty hard to piss of the majority of the playerbase. I think this is an interesting topic for discussion, though no doubt elitists who think casuals should be forced to play naked will get it squelched.
When mythic runs first became available in season 1 they were 1.5 million. No doubt cheaper toward the end of the tier and now that so many potential customers have gone on break. Bargain +15’s are now 115k if you get a plan to buy 3.
i have no clue. i’ve never bought or sold them.
huh? i don’t know about you, but i keep my gold from expansion to expansion. i didn’t start at 0g when SL dropped.

Again… how?
Because it’s fun to do the content yourself? Unless your only goal in the game is to have high ilvl gear and not have to play the game at all.
Again, how does what other players do have any effect on you?

Just normalize gear and let it be like Gw2 , the end of instances …hello open world content

Ok,hmm this going to be good.
Do you really find chores to be as fun as that other content that is normally a goal? Is doing chores your primary goal?
Op,imho, the raider should have their own content and leave the wqers alone to do their thing since they are elitists. No we don’t need another scaling system.
haha uh oh, have i been doing it wrong?
I am assuming this idea came from the fact that pvp gear raises/lowers in pvp/open world content. I disagree with this method.
Imagine a raider or M+ player 250+ gear getting lowered to 220 in open world content. I suspect there would be riots.
If something like this would be implemented, it would split players into only doing that content and nothing else. (This happens already, lots of people only doing raiding/M+/pvp/open world content.) But it would make that division even deeper.
It’s bad enough that bliz tempts player and/or forces players into that content already. Example: The covenant story takes you deep into the maw, torghast, etc. The story puts you in dungeons and raids. This week is mythic dungeon week with the loot temptation.
