People want to say it’s crucial and to an extent I agree. Any advantage you can get you should get. Be as prepared as possible.
That being said I pvp’d for the majority of vanilla and only got to rank 9 and was decked out in pvp based gear, I was your typical unstoppable force/blue set/exalted pvp epics warrior. I never remember feeling weak in BGs.
