Hey my fellow wow friends, just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the PvP Prestige Icons showing in my raid frames right next to peoples names…
If you don’t know what I mean by PvP Prestige icons its the little Alliance or Horde Icon next to your characters hp mana window that appears in my Raid frames.

Do you use any addons? I use ElvUI so I can’t help much besides recommending it.
nah just the stock raid frames addons ;( really annoying as the icon takes up most the frame
I use the standard raid frames and have never seen these.
Are you sure you’re not using any addons that might modify it?

I assumed they meant the rank icons, but it is possible that there was some sort of retail change that made this happen.

Because isn’t prestige a PVP system feature in Modern WoW? I remember this from playing a bit of Legion…
Speaking of Legion, I was doing BG’s and found out just how horrible the average BG player in Modern WoW actually is on the 7.3 Patch…
In that patch they busted all the bots and scrips that were basically playing players characters for them. (the stuff is kinda back now), but for that short hot minute it was very interesting to see how clueless and pathetic most BG players really are when their bot’s and scripts don’t auto target, auto CC, auto DPS / HPS rotation for them.
After that patch it was easier than killing kittens with axes… (no I don’t do that).
no i mean classic, sorry i cant upload screenshots but you know when you are in PvP and next to your character HP icon theres a Alliance or Horde icon?

It is, yeah. I figured they’re just calling it the wrong thing.
Oh yeah, it’s pretty horrible. The massive imbalance issues made it difficult for me to take advantage of, sadly (a melee in that patch didn’t need to be competent to fight a mage, just run at them and hit buttons, since fire can’t kite and frost can’t do any damage).
I’ve never seen that and I use default raid frames. There’s something else going on with yours - any other addons you have installed?

What you’re seeing is the pvp flag icon. You don’t want to remove that.
That will tell you if your opponent is flagged or not and can hit them.
Doesn’t change based on rank. Only “combat status” or whatever term blizz uses for it
edit - for horde they use the horde symbol, for alliance u get the alliance crest. There is a possiblity ur raid frames are also showing rank for some reason…But my frames don’t even have that option I don’t think
but the rank symbols are sword/fist*/helmet and I highly doubt you’re seeing those
Honestly, I dunno if this will help, just sorta popped in my head…Are there any settings you can tweak under i think it’s System settings, there’s separate Raid frame settings, you can adjust them by profile. I dunno if looking in there gives you any options to either hide or not use them? (I think you can even disable them).
Or are you talking about on your character portrait? That I’m fairly sure cannot be changed.

I didn’t tell him to turn it off…I was talking about the settings Blizzard gives you, specifically to customize elements about Raid frames. Thought that was pretty clear…
