Raid finder will not survive without experienced players. Just give us the Transmog and watch what happens

Once there is a boss where you require a little bit more coordination, the entire raid finder group falls apart.

I still remember raid finder Nzoth. He was a boss where you can easily get 10 stacks of determination and still be no where near defeating him if you do not do his mechanics.

He was the first raid boss where I have to actively tell people what to do, send constant raid warnings to remind people what to do, and people still don’t do it.

I asked everybody to speak up if they don’t know what is going on every wipe, but no one ever says anything. Yes, I even told them that there is no shame in not knowing what to do because I can explain and that would be better than them being mind controlled every fight.

So I just explained the fight every wipe because I think no one wants to say that they don’t know and they still wipe.

Occasionally a DPS might step up and explain the fight before I have to but most don’t say anything.

Nzoth was a boss where if you don’t do the mechanics, you will wipe no matter how many stacks of determination you have. Not sure if it was made easier since then but I still remember Nzoth and the raid finder/mind controlling tragedy.

Some people on this forum are claiming that we are “stealing” items by rolling need on it but they are only saying that because things are so easy to defeat right now.

Once we are gone and there is a boss where you need a little bit more than basic coordination, watch this forum melt down in 2 ways:

  1. They ask for the boss to be made easier.
  2. They are begging us to come back and carry them.

I still remember the hours long wait to fill up a tank spot on raid finder Nzoth every week.

I still remember everyone leaving the raid finder group once they wipe because no one knows what to do and no one explains it to them until I joined. I know that they needed me because the game is offering additional rewards for saving that raid finder group.

Come on, just do it. Give us the Transmog for all of the lower tier difficulties when we get the higher tier item.

And watch the raid finder community burn in flames.

Honestly it’s true

The amount of times I’ve seen people on here say the majority of players can clear normal or get aotc is hilarious

Id actually be amazed if most of them could even clear half the raid on normal

I got an even better idea. Make totally different sets for every difficulty… i mean the devs cant use the “takes too much effort/time” excuse for everything right?

Honestly, there are times I get into LFR on a toon I’m less geared and skilled in and get into groups with people who aren’t doing too much more than me. And yeah, there are bosses that I’m like “what, we hardly ever have this boss go so long in LFR,” like getting the third weapon on Igara or Pip’s ultimate finishing in Council. It feels like it takes forever to down a boss, which to an extent I don’t mind, I like raiding, but even so there’s a point at which I’m thinking “how is this boss STILL alive???”

So 13 classes x 3 raid tiers = 39 x 4 difficulties = 156 sets per x-pack for raiding alone. Throw in 1 open world set per patch for each armor type = + 16. So thats 172. Plus all of the rep/crafted sets…and Im sure PVP would need their own unique sets too.

I doubt they have the time or creativity to do that

Getting thinly veiled remove LFR vibes from this thread.

but wont that encourage the skillgap by not challenging the sandbags to do better?

The level of condescension in this post is astounding.

no point in queueable raids that can’t be done.

they can simply have the difficulty lowered until they can be.

nothing is set in stone…

and yes, put the mogs in all difficulties.

customers get so indoctrinated into wowthink they can’t see alternatives, its sad…

Seems a tad odd to be so hostile.

All they need to do is make the transmog button during roll 100% give people the transmog appearance. That way, the physical piece goes to the people who want the physical piece and the transmog gets added to everyone’s collection that hits the transmog button.

I honestly don’t really care about what happens to the raid finder community because this expansion was the first time I did any higher raid difficulties than raid finder and it’s been great so far.

Come on, just give us all of the lower tier Transmog. Just do it.

Give it a few months, and watch the tears flow from the raid finder community.

“People don’t value our contribution until they have lost it and need it again.”

I win either way.

Haha! Reminds me back during Mop, and Wod when that Draenei mage from Stormrage realm would constantly spam anti lfr threads every week

Nah, wasted effort. it would be far more cost effective to just remove different sets for the same raid.
Just make it so every tier gets the exact same look.
problem solved, money saved.
Everyone wins

And yet…

Seems you do care. No one acts hostile towards something that they claim they don’t have any feelings about. lol

Okay, if you say so.

Doesnt sound that bad when you realize that everything else in the game is re hashed content at this point.

Thing is, I don’t recall this being an issue in the past. I don’t recall highly geared players going into raids to get gear for mog. It may have happened but it just didn’t seem to be mentioned. Was it due to the difference in the type of gear allocation? Could have been I guess , or was it just that those players weren’t that anxious to get a lowly lfr appearance when they presumably had Normal, Heroic and (in theory) Mythic appearances already.

I would agree that people who earn the gear on a higher difficulty should also get the appearances below. And if we want to keep highly gear players doing LFR, give them something that makes the time worthwhile. What? Not sure, but there are plenty of smart brains (presumably) ticking at Blizzard who could come up with ideas for that.

The better solution is to switch LFR back to personal loot. People are getting bent out of shape because they see the rolls happening in real time in front of them. Put the rolls behind the scenes and people won’t even think about them.
