I just tried to clear a shadowlands raid for transmog, but any boss gave me any gear, they only gave me cosmic flux, it was on LFR
is that normal ? how do i get the transmog of the raid if is not killing bosses ? do i buy it with the cosmic flux ?

were you at least level 71? anything under 71 is not considered “legacy raid”, its personal loot
what level were you? according to Wowhead Legacy Loot only works for 71+ for Shadowlands raids
yes. Blizzard has to turn on the “legacy loot” for older raids. raids that don’t have this option toggled on will still assign loot as if you were in a party even if you’re not. this means that boss drops can get sent to the other slots in your raid group even though no one is there, so whatever the boss drops is given to a “player” that doesn’t exist. it’s really dumb. lol
shadowlands did not have Legacy Loot turned on until recently (allegedly, i haven’t tested myself) but according to Wowhead you need to be 71 or higher for it to work.
oh no, i am 70, i don’t have the new exp so i can’t go further
then that means i can’t get the transmog, right ?
that is a big shame, why would they lock old raids to new expancion content ?
they didnt lock old raids to the new expansion
they locked legacy behind 1 level you need to obtain which costs money
you can you’ll just have to hope you get lucky and that the loot drops for you, and not one of the other slots without players in them. it’s still obtainable, the chances are just a lot lower because you need the right item to drop, and for it to drop for you
you could also join, or make a group and run it with other players, and ask if they already have / don’t want the transmog and can trade it to you.
if you have a 71 or higher friend that might also work? i’m not sure i haven’t tried, but it’s worth a shot i guess
that sounds so exhausting, and complicated, seems like Blizzard still follow the logic of make the game feel like a job, i think i will pass
i just want look pretty, that won’t make me over powered or anything, now i understand why people say that they don’t actually play the game
idk which sets you’re hunting, but you can get the Mythic Sanctum of Domination sets from professions. you can craft them yourself, or buy them on the Auction House with Gold.
The Cloth set is called the “Grim-Veiled” armor
Leather is called “Umbrahide” armor
Mail is called the 'Boneshatter" armor
and Plate is called “Shadowghast” armor
you can also get the lfr color of Sepulcher of the First Ones gear by buying gear with Sandworn relics putting them in the catalyst in Zereth Mortis. or atleast you used to, i’m not sure if the catalyst still works on sl gear, but it still works on old df gear for transmog, so idk why it wouldn’t work on sl gear.
you can get Sandworn relics from rares and chests in the sandy part of Zereth Mortis, and some dailies iirc.
