In LFR, personal loot should be the standard. In any manually made group, the group lead should have options on loot distribution.
The current LFR situation means no accountability since it’s all random. This means people don’t mind upsetting others by rolling need on things they have no need for. It means less loot overall for any one person.
You cant just “roll need” strictly for tmog if you A cant actually use it or B its not an upgrade.
Warriors cant just Need on mail crap because they want the set lol
It would actually roll and randomly determine who wins loot first. For those people who won an item, it would then randomly pick an appropriate item for your spec and give it to you.
It would always pick the winners first and then pick the specific loot after.

Either LfR uses the same system every other raid difficulty gets or it doesn’t drop any loot. LFR isn’t entitled to special treatment because y’all don’t know how loot systems work.

I absolutely was not able to roll “need” on anything but plate on my warrior in LFR on Tuesday.

Again, you have the ability to dismount in flight in-game…Do you do that a bunch just because blizzard lets you?

This assumes people don’t roll on items they don’t need. There is no bad luck protection in rolls.

If i dont need it i just hit pass. Tmogs are worthless, most of them suck, and i dont need the measily 100g or w.e the item vendors for.

There’s actually a lot of restrictions and things built into GL you clearly don’t know.
I as a Mail wearing hunter can’t even hit need on a plate item.
If my loot spec is sent to BM or MM and a pole arm/agility staff drops I can hit need
However it’s needed as an off spec roll. Which means I only get to roll on it if anyone who’s mainspec uses that weapon type doesn’t hit need.
Say a monk or feral Druid roll need I don’t even roll against them.
People just roll need on everything they can even if they already have it. It should go back to personal loot because it didn’t feel as much like you were getting screwed over.
That’s a great way to look at it, sadly, most people in this game could give a rat’s tush about anyone else and will absolutely need on tmog because “I’m carrying the undergeared people i deserve it too”
Eh its w.e i got super lucky and got my tier gloves outta LFR last week. Won the tier item off last boss in norm, and have my catalyst charge.
assuming i get tier in my vault tomorrow im already 4/4 and done with raiding until 11.0.5 BRD
But there is nothing I get from dismounting all day. I get transmog and loot if I roll. Which Blizzard allows me to do. So, I roll. Already got 3 transmog pieces this week. Can’t wait to be allowed to continue to do it again next week! Whatever responsibility you think I have to be a better representation of something is your business not mine. I am here for the shinnies. Thanks Blizzard!

(Doubly funny when that’s not even equippable on a hunter, so even the original wording literally doesn’t make sense there)
