Raid Finder locked me out of guild run - Normal - The Eternal Palace

After running The eternal Place in normal under raid finder, it locked me out of loot from running it with a guild. I am unsure why,.

If you ran it in NORMAL under raid finder (Edit: I’m talking about the “premade groups” tab, not the actual “raid finder”, which is LFR) , then in NORMAL with your guild, you ran it twice. Second time you don’t get to loot. You would have to wait until the lockout expires.

If you ran LFR, then ran NORMAL with your guild, that sounds like an issue.

I was under the impression LFR and Raid’s don’t overlap. But thank you.

There are 4 raid difficulties

  1. Looking For Raid
  2. Normal
  3. Heroic
  4. Mythic

If you run LFR once and kill all the bosses you can still get loot in the other 3 difficulties but not in LFR. Now if you run LFR and only kill 2 out of 3 then whichever boss you have yet to kill can still provide loot in LFR.

your description is throwing me off completely
did you run normal eternal palace using group finder or did you run LFR version? “normal under raid finder” is very unclear as you’re talking about 2 separate difficulties

I ran it under LFR. (normal difficulty).

Then i tried to run it with my guild under normal difficulty and it wouldnt let me loot anything I killed from LFR.

I believe they aren’t supposed to be linked.

On this toon?
Looking at your armory, there isn’t any kills for LFR.
LFR =/= Normal difficulty.
If you ran a normal group finder raid (Under premade groups), you are most definitely locked out this week.
If you used looking for group > raid finder. Then you shouldn’t be locked.

Looking for raid (LFR) is a random queue. You can not do normal mode via a random queue, it has to be done via the pre-made group finder (which is not LFR)

You are still confusing the two. Sounds like this is not a bug.

ok yeah you’re definitely confused. ok let me break it down for you. if you open the ‘Group Finder’ section (it’s like a big eye) you have 3 immediate choices: dungeon finder, raid finder and premade groups. if you queue through ‘Raid Finder’ that (and ONLY that) is LFR. if you went to premade groups and joined a group that way, then that is Normal or Heroic or Mythic

So here’s the thing:

If you open the Group Finder (default is the “I” button), you’ll see 3 buttons on the left. Dungeon Finder, Raid Finder, and Premade Groups.

Raid Finder is LFR. LFR is NOT Normal difficulty.

If you use the Premade Groups button, you COULD find a Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty raid group. If you used THIS option, and found a NORMAL group, then, before the Tuesday reset, you ALSO ran it with your guild on NORMAL difficulty then the guild run would NOT offer loot for any bosses you previously killed.

Now, if you used the Raid Finder button (which is a difficulty level LOWER than actual “Normal” setting), THEN ran with your guild on NORMAL setting, you were either unlucky with loot, or you somehow found a bug. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY ITS A BUG. Any of the above methods are “working as intended”.
