Is it possible to get Raid Finder version of old content gear?

Hi there,
Yes there is you just need to “queue” for the LFR version by speaking to an NPC relevant to that expansion.
For Dragon Soul: (LFR Began with the Dragon Soul Raid)
For Mists of Pandaria:
For Warlords of Draenor:
( I think he requires a level 2 Garrison to appear though)
And I do believe the Legion LFR Solo queue NPC will be Archmage Timear in Dalaran.

Huh, neat. Cause there are some Raid Finder tints I like better then Normal or Heroic.
