Anything being done about this? Access to logs need to be cut off, its toxic and only getting worse.
We need an automated group formation and personal loot option. Let the sweaty elites play their way and give the rest of us a chance to raid too.

discrimination based on performance in almost all aspects of life is generally socially accepted so i dont think anything will be done lol
If there are so many people waiting to raid but can’t because of sweaty elites, wouldn’t you be able to fill your own group with all of those players quite easily?
Meritocracy > Affirmative action
True. Couldn’t have said it better.
Or just learn your rotation?
Just make your own group.
Raid discrimination has been extra sweet when I do more damage than the other people.
It was funny, I stayed unbooned because I wanted to see if I could beat this melee hunter as marks while he had all my buffs and was booned.
I did overall, but he got to lone wolf and didn’t have to do any mechanics so pulled ahead by a little on most fights. Got my 95 on theramplug.
Point being good logs help underperforming classes show they can brig something to the table.
i raid twice a week and i dont consider myself sweaty at all. I am in a guild and we have roughly 8 teams that do gnomer and I’m lucky im in a raid squad that doesnt care I am a BM playing ranged, would they love me to be a melee (sure) but I enjoy playing the way I play and they are okay with that. We clear gnomer in an hour sometimes 2 again - I’m just a normal casual retired dad just enjoying the raids.
I’m sure you heard this daily but try and join a guild that fits your play style and maybe you can get in a casual raiding team too
This is one of those, you think you do but you don’t. If you get rid of logs then people will find an even worse way to filter invites to their groups. Logs at least in general do a good job reflecting your performance in and completion of previous runs. Instead of complaining look for ways to improve yourself.
Yes. But they would only go 3/6 at best.
this is 100% true.
I do like the logs too, it shows how i’m improving from raid to raid. Again, im just a ranged bm hunter casual but I started 5 of 6 fights at green and some of the fights I’m not dark blues (basically from 30s to 75s - whatever that means) I still only grey on the managree and I see other hunters use lone wolf with exploding shot to parse blue+…
I cant afford to give up heart of the lion (I’m the only hunter and the raid needs it) so no lone wolf plus I’m a BM and I cant swap the gloves to explosive shot so I’ll be greying that fight i guess until phase 3 lol
People just need to remember that having a lower damage ceiling doesn’t mean the class is not viable, not everyone is popping ritalin before a raid and most players aren’t running perfect bot-level rotations, however the people that do will only pick top damage possibility classes.
This leads to certain classes being underrepresented in the ADHD olympics, then people just assume they are bad and non-viable when really they are fine just not seen as much, but then they are excluded from raids because they aren’t seen in the logs bing bang boom exiled classes, but you can run around town and see plenty of these classes decked out in gear clearing the raids.
Don’t believe everything you read on the forums and take a stab at it yourself, most of these ‘I spent 2 hours trying to find a group’ people didn’t think to lead one, just sat and spammed a lfg message or are maybe even lying cause they want their friends back in the wotlk guild.
As long as no one rage quits after one wipe, nothing is hard enough in this game to not be beaten.
I play BM ranged too and explosive is 100% not necessary for a good parse. It’s all about uptime and executing rotations well. May need to look at making some /petattack macros to make sure your pet is always attacking whatever target you need it to be on. I see a lot of hunters that aren’t controlling their pet well which puts them back at their side not hitting anything frequently. A simple /petattack /cast Multi Shot style macro works wonders on maintaining uptime.
As far as this addon, I get if you’re new and want to get better it can be off putting, but seriously find a damn guild. This addon is made irrelevant by playing with a core group of people that allow you to get better as a player as time goes on. There are guides and resources out there for how to improve. Take a hour to look up proper rotation or explore WCL timelines for higher parsing players of your class to see what they are doing rotationally to achieve what they do. If you won’t take the time to get better at your class, no one should be obligated to carry you.
i think this isnt directed at me as i am in a guild and i do gnomer twice a week with full clears. I do appericate your bm comments about rotations. Can I look your hunter up on warlogs and see how you do that fight?
It’s not, it was pertaining to the initial conversation. Just wanted to drop you a helpful tip for BM that is often a big reason why BM players miss out on damage. Sure my logs are all public.
Enjoy bragging to bots because when you run out the other players thats what you’ll have left
wow! you are a 99 on that fight!! so you use chimera shot often and you have your pet using claw more often than bite, Ill swap to those 2 abilites in my rotation, ty (raiding tonight and ill post the results tomorrow) ![]()
do you use serpent sting on all and refresh the rotation with chimera on all as a follow up?
No serpent’s main benefit is the damage that comes from chimera, so as long as it’s rolling on your main target that’s where your damage comes from. You can run Serpent spread on that fight if your tank keeps them clustered but I mostly do the sheep and dragon add so no point. Serpent spread does have a better modifier for the damage on chimera for some reason though so it’s good for multi target.
