If you had to piece a single raid in all of WoW, what would you say was the most difficult one overall?
I’ve never really felt like raids are easier or harder than other raids for the most part. They’re pretty good at being exactly as hard as Blizzard wants them to be for the chosen difficulty level.
Generally when something feels “harder” its actually just a mechanic that forces more unique bodies to do something instead of being able to assign a specific group or person to handle it every time. But that comes up often enough that I don’t have any “it was too hard here” gripes so much as I do “these mechanics don’t scale properly for small raid sizes” gripes.
Cop Out answer would be pre-nerf AQ40 due to C’thun being “mathematically impossible” or whatever.
that is a tough call
in classic that would be a tie between aq40 with the fast respawning bugs in that tunnel
or the first naxx raid when the grandfather of dbm was created for that raid
Original Naxx, AQ40 (twin princes), BWL.
BWL is my all time favorite raid.
that stasis room lol
I’m tempted to say Mythic Tomb, it got absolutely slammed with nerfs. But since it wasn’t cleared with the original form of the dot on Kil’Jaeden, that may not count
I loved how you walk in… and wipe for a month on the first boss…
Then vael… back when tank swapping was new. Lol
oh yea i do miss raids takes hrs to half a day to get to the middle of the raids
Selpucher of the First Ones.
pick any of the last tbc raids
Blackwing Lair. It is not difficult in the sense of fighting, at least today. Where we get messed up is the two full rooms of immolation, reducing walking speed by 80/90%. You almost RP CRAWL for 6 minutes just getting past all of it.
Most difficult Normal Mode: Sunwell Plateau.
Most difficult multiple-difficulty mode: Tomb of Sargeras
