Nothing is needed. If folks would simply stop the min/max crap, the game would get harder.
They should do something like this.
Really it should just be heroic or normal. Same raid rewards. Heroic is of course all about the bragging rights. IT doesnât matter if only 10% or less of a server ends up doing it.
If you donât like it thatâs fine. Thereâs plenty of people who enjoy the challenge.
Youâre not making any sense. If they enjoyed the challenge, they wouldnât push to make it so easy.
Thatâs not as fun as cranking damage and playing well to overcome a superior challenge
Perhaps, but it involves less begging for things that arenât going to happen.
Couchy
nope. Raid modes create an âeverybody gets a trophyâ vibe and reduce this game to kindergarten level. Like the crap started in WOTLk. One raid for everybody, with high level of difficulty is way to go to me.
I know, see the parallel?
I see a stretch.
Oh yes thin edge of the wedge iâd agree, but it all starts somewhere.
Lol, I mean i get that but that doesnât change my statement
I dunno⌠The anti-boost crowd sounds a lot like the anti-5G crowd to me.
NoâŚnoâŚthis is why retail is so bad.
To me pve died the day blizzard listen to the casual qqing âItâs too hardâ and the hard core qqing âItâs too easyâ
We donât need gear thatâs 40 item levels apart. If you want that trash then go play shadowlands.
If you want to see the start of that trash then wait one more xpac. You get 3 drakes and can push a button at a robot.
If there was a challenge mode to raids, then the only rewards I would accept would be achievements
No gear, no gold, no cosmetic items.
There are a number of things I donât like about retail, but this isnât one. I personally think itâs great that they made endgame content accessible to as many as they did. Folks who just want to see the content and get some loot? Yep, weâve got that. Those who want to sweat it out and go nuts on âoptimal play?â Sure⌠Mythic ![]()
Iâm fine with how FFXIV uses multi mode.
But wows version created a gear issueâŚ
Aka it created more issues than solved. Look at how broken pvp was for 3 xpacs because of it. Even the fix they added in shadowlands didnât solve this issue.
Sorry but mmos donât need easy, medium, hard, and epic modes. Go play a AAA single player title not an MMO. It Sadly breaks the whole game
Iâm not familiar with FFXIV.
WoW has always had a gear issue⌠Sometimes itâs because of some weird mechanic they thought would be interesting/fun. Other times itâs because players choose how to use it.
I donât recall a gear issue till people started using gear score mod at end of wrath. That was all player started and not Wow devs.
I felt wows gearing was setup great till multi modes were introduced. When item levels started to drift so far apart in cata things started to get derpy. Good thing was it didnât hurt pvp till a few more xpacs. (And I just pvp and went pvp only because of how horrid gear scores got) yea it allowed more casual guilds to do raid content without it being too hard. But again gear item levels go out of hand. Look at how they constantly had to do item level squishes every xpac. That screams something is broken with the system.
As for ffxiv they have a story version of raids. (Itâs like our raid finder but less boring and actually fun) while also having savage mode. Savage is just a harder version of that same raid. Item level isnât too far apart and the imbalance between players isnât super bad. Mind you we have lots of warcraft players trying to demand that they make it like wow or make harder content. So to please the masochist they had 1 super hard mode of a boss every now and then.
But if they starred doing this for classic tbc then we will end up in same boat we are on retail. I donât trust wow dev team to properly add new content like this.
If they had challenge modes that awarded a mount that would be cool.
mounts and challenge mode xmog are examples of GOOD changes that retail has done.
