More of a discussion than a suggestion but what do you guys think shamans should have for a raid buff. We need a reason to be brought to raid other than “we’re pretty good right now” or “We need at least one WF totem”, so what could we possibly bring that other classes do not?
I opt in for Critical Effect. As in what skyfury totem gives: a raid wide 5-10% (debatable) critical damage bonus? If that would add too much power, i’d suggest we have moments where we can have it up like Retribution Aura does. I wonder how this would add up on sims, but yeah, let me know what y’all suggestions are.

I mean it’s obvious that if Blizz wants Elemental Shaman to be brought to raids, in their current state, they have to be doing more damage than anyone else - because they literally bring nothing.
Of course a PVE Skyfury Totem would be great and welcome. If blizz’ intent was for Elemental Shamans to be brought to raid, then we’d have that already. It’s clear that they don’t care about Ele’s representation in raid or their representation in m+ runs either.
This was made obvious by Blizzard buffing literally everything around Elemental - but doing nothing (don’t pretend that buffing a spell that isn’t used changed anything) for Elemental.

Skyfury totem for 5% increase crit damage would be best.
Maybe some sort of wind totem that increased haste by 3% another option.
I wouldn’t want a buff like mark or fort or AI. A totem would be fitting, and it could be raid wide or party wide as long as it was budgeted appropriately. I kind of liked the days where specs brought party buffs and you slotted them in with certain other specs but that might not fit into the modern wow design.
A raid wide 5% crit damage totem would be cool, or give all shaman the choice between wind fury and sky fury totem on a choice node and balance them to effect the whole raid.

3% haste totem and get rid of Windfury totem
I don’t get why DHs bring the magic damage debuff to raid. Give that to shamans and give DHs something else that’s more fitting.
Give a 10% crit dmg totem that applies to a grp
Bring back the Cataclysm design where every raid buff was provided by at least two classes, so there was more flexibility to group comps.
Then give shaman a lesser version of most of them (4% vs 5%) that we can only provide one of which at a time, so we can cover any missing buff without just being better at it than the dedicated providers.
I dont want it tied to a totem I have to drop.
Maybe the totem is summoned as a piece of “gear” that is hanging from your belt or on your back.
