Raid Adjustments Discussion

Frankly, or maybe “beating” the game shouldn’t be for everyone, or even the majority. That’s fine too imo. But, probably not for Blizzard because people would flat out quit.

That’s fine too, but I don’t think Blizzard agrees given the almost-nerfs we got.

You came all entitled with the incorrect argument, then started making a scene.
Still has no point whatsoever.

We made the decision to not do a ssc lockout this reset to push KT because of this blue post. We are now 9/10! However, we haven’t even touched Vash… but I am confident if given more time we’ll be 10/10.

In regards to some replies with the idea that those who are not 8/10 yet will never be… well that’s just completely silly. In total, we have spent 6.5 hours on KT (1.5 hours for the last two weeks. And then this week 4.5. We raid 2 days in 3 hour time periods). For a lot of us, it’s mostly a time constraint… not because we cant do it!

If the nerf isn’t released this upcoming reset, we will be trying vash for the first time and skipping our TK lock out to focus on her and get in hours as we have none.

I support the referenced changes ON THE RELEASE OF P3 (as well as eleminating the ssc/tk attunement process with the release of the new raids. This will help those who are truly struggling to be able to progress and conquer content) .

HOWEVER, please give us a notice of this well inadvance so guilds can make informed decisions on what to push :)! That way you are setting up guilds for success and they have the best opportunity to meet their goals accordingly.

yea we took about 6hrs on KT too

then we did a 2hr mini raid on vash on monday for practice, then killed her within an hour on tues

But now we almost oneshot KT each week (pending dumb deaths), but Vashj is still an RNG clownfiesta. Im fine with vashj nerfs going live.

some people who wants the nerf keep saying its an old game, 15 year old blablabla. Yeah it is and that’s why there is way more information and strategies out there nowadays on how to tackle these encounters pre nerfed. If you actually try and spend some time on it you can beat it. If anything I would just change the amount of trash, respawn times and the toxic run back after wipes and just allow casual guilds to have more time on the encounters. Making the encounter easier just ruins the whole experience with the boss encounter itself.

When will you learn ?

listening to the cry babies got you from the beautiful vanilla/bc and eh WOTLk to the souless crap you have today called retail wow.

Don’t do this to classic. Do not nerf the current content.

Phase 1 advisor HP reduced by 50%.
Phase 2 weapon Hp reduced by 10%.
Phase 3 advisor HP reduced by 10%.
Phase 4/5 Kael’thas HP reduced by 33%.

Where did this come from and why am I hearing this from people? Only 2.3.0 has notes about KT being nerfed and it’s not all these changes. So where did this come from? I cannot find a single blue post that outright states this.

Lets be 100% crystal clear on this, your guild could’ve done this at any point before this week.

We cleared 10/10 the week before this was proposed. We were excited for the nerf as this would allow us to do 10/10 in one night and requiring us to respec only once per week instead of requiring 2 raid nights.

hate to break it to you but none of this is like it was originally done.

After two raids this week, one for my main and one for an alt, I’m definitely in the camp of “please nerf the trash”. Though they didn’t ever nerf them in classic. Still, the TK trash especially is annoying AF. I also hate the trash before and after Leo’s room.

And yes please nerf Vashj so easier to do in GDKP  But seriously, I think the proposed Vashj change is fine. Though I still think if they are nerfing Kael, which is much easier, it would make sense to also nerf Vashj HP.

Please do not do this. We had so much fun and finally got pre-nerf 10/10 yesterday(11/11). We couldn’t achieve it if you have included the nerf in the patch. KT and Vashj are the only thing raiders are interested in in phase 2. Nerfs can be waited until phase 3. If you have to nerf some thing, please nerf all the trashes before KT or even bosses other than KT and Vashj so that people have more time to get familiar with the mechanics of these 2 bosses. From a long term point of view, if you nerf in mid phase 2, will you do same in phase 3 and all the phases after that? Will players be expecting nerfs when they have difficulties fighting some bosses? Then people will be more reluctant to do everything they can to help raid progression but only to wait for your nerfs.

Kael’thas has NO NERFS until Zul’aman patch 2.3.0.

Lady Vashj is roughly nerfed in 2.1.0:

  • Lady Vashj can no longer use the ability Persuasion.
  • Toxic Spores no longer deal damage upon impact.

Love these suggestions. My guild is just not getting enough uptime on these bosses. Some changes need to be made. Telling us to git gud is the same thing as telling poor people to just pull themselves by their bootstraps.

Nerf the content. Overall game health is at risk by not easing 8/10 and 9/10 guilds ability to kill the content and survive. Every guild that has a member quit on one of your many dying servers potentially has the other 24 people stop subbing since they now can’t fill raids.

My guild has killed the content and honestly KT/Vashj/Morogrim have horrible design. All 3 are full of bad RNG and mechanics you would have never allowed to be present in anything after you learned how to design challenging yet fair fights.
