Ragnaros server

I have been told often when building a mythic group not to invite anyone from Ragnaros server . I always heard him , but never really took it to heart . Today is the last time I ever invite someone from that sever . Turns out he is right

Some will say there’s no difference in player between NA servers and LA servers, however…

My cousin, who I got into the game, complete noob, just levels characters in dungeons all day randomly texted me at one point “What is up with people from Ragnaros and Quel’thalas? They never listen and they are just horrible players all around”. LOL If a total noob (who has never heard of the biases against the LA servers or even knows that they are LA servers to begin with) can notice the difference in play by people from these servers then idk what to say.

i dont know what an LA sever is , but i am sick of them leaving part way through a mythic + and wrecking a key. Especially when the group is easily on track to time it ! i should have listened a long time ago, that was my 7th ish key wrecked in a couple weeks .

Just stands for Latin American.

no idea why its like this, I think for latin american players the game is newer or something? Language barrier? I don’t know.

was the healer tonight that left , and i can’t even bring in another one

The only times I ran into an issue with a player being super rude this season - it was sargeras and ragnaros server.

Luckily I run with frostmourne/stormrage/proudmoore for the most part. They’re very pleasant :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That’s also the top alliance pop servers luckily. My mains on frostmourne.

Well that’s unfortunate.
I’m from Ragnaros and the most toxic players I played with were from Illidan and Mal’ganis…

It’s not the server.
If a Rag player “does not listen” then that might be a language barrier, not because the player is toxic. Most Ragnaros community speaks spanish so yea that sometimes is a problem, but if the guy knows english it should be ok.

And again literally never run with a leaver from Rag, most leavers I got in keys were Illidan and Mal’ganis.

Honestly I don’t consider rag bad. I usually check IO over server. As Amantha said, it’s sometimes a language barrier. I generally try talking to my pugs first. If we need something done such as CC, I pop up google translate for simple stuff such as sheep square. More often than not I’ve had good players from there, although IO plays a big factor.

I’ve had no issues with rag or azralon.

i feel like I’ve met more jerks from a52 than anybody else… for whatever that’s worth

  • How many Spanish speaking realms you have? 3 (Ragnaros, Quel’Thalas and Drakkari).

  • How many Brazilian realms? 5 (Azralon, Nemesis, TolBarad, Gallywix and Goldrinn).

  • How many American realms? More than 100.

Because LA/Brazil realms are so scarce, it is easy to say “Rag/QT/Azralon bad” as almost every single bad player from Latin America or Brazil will play in those realms. In reality, American players make the vast majority of the playerbase in this region, so you will surely encounter more toxic players from American realms, but since they are spread out across a gazillion realms, every single bad/toxic player you encounter will probably be from a different one.

I am from Drakkari, i pug a lot, and i mostly speak English in pugs because 95% of the people i find are from American realms. If 95% of my LFG partners are from the US, then 95% of the bad players will also be from there. And i dont say “Malganis bad”, “Tichondrius bad”, “Area52 bad” or whatever, it doesnt make any sense, because the next bad player could be from Sargeras, Illidan, TwistingNether, SistersOfElune, the list goes forever.

The only issue people could realistically have with people from LA/Brazilian realms is language barrier or high latency. The rest is just confirmation bias or plain xenophobia.

Never invite anyone from Ragnaros, Quel’Thalas and Drakkari.

I joined a group that had mostly people from Quel’Thalas sometime last week ( I don’t run dungeons much). Even though I noobed the run by getting myself killed a lot because I was lagging badly, we completed the dungeon and no one raged at anyone. I’m not sure if they were all together, but they were friendly and patient.

Sargeras-Alliance is a dumpster fire. It was the only NA server I wouldn’t engage with while on Alliance.

Yeah honestly I run into more toxic players from sargeras than I do rag or quel’thalas. It’s 100% true from my experience too. No idea what’s up with some of those guys lol

I would highly recommend against inviting a player from one of the above-mentioned realms.

However, I would encourage you to invite these players in higher keys. I’ve had 0 problems so far.

Ragna, quel thalas, nemesis, goldrin, stormrage, ilidan, area 52 and last but not least Tichondrius. My list of servers that give me headache if im trying to pug my key.

Quelthalas is the worst of them all. If it’s not the language barrier, poor skill, or bad attitude than it’s me getting lag spikes from having them in group

I’ve never had a problem with any folks from any of these realms. Especially in higher keys. They also don’t give me any latency issues. Aussie servers do, but only a little bit, it’s still totally playable.

I don’t even think there’s a language barrier as literally every one of these folks I’ve grouped with has completely understood every bit of communication either typed or over discord, and many are better at English than some native English speakers I know.

No, they just suck and refuse to listen.

I’m latin american myself, and I play on Sen’jin instead of grouping up with those tools.

Even when I talk to them IN SPANISH (and portugese for the Brazilians who refuse to learn english and think everyone in South America speaks their dead language) they either never answer or are just straight up rude whilst sucking at the game.

Avoid those realms like the plague, any LA player worth their salt will play on a NA realm.
