Ragnaros' ranged stun+knockback on mana users

I’m posting this because I’m trying to wade through a bunch of information that has led me to nothing conclusive. I have two questions primarily:

  1. What is the name of Ragnaros’ ranged ability that randomly targets a mana user and creates an explosion at their feet, stuns them, and knocks them (and anyone else in range) up in the air? I’ve heard Hammer of Ragnaros and Hand of Ragnaros, but only Hand of Ragnaros (ability) shows up on the classic Wowhead… hxxps://classic.wowhead.com/spell=19780/hand-of-ragnaros

  2. What is the actual range of this ability? The Wowhead page lists it as 10 yards, but many other places online list it at other ranges. I’ve heard 8, 10, 15, 20 – no one seems to know for sure.

If you space yourself 15 yards apart and stack 3-4 dps in each spot, you’ll avoid the blast hitting anyone but those stacked.
