Rage Spender

Would be a bad idea if Fury had another rage spender but with a short cooldown? I love the state of Fury warrior, but i believe that adding another rage spender with a 30-20s cooldown with a nice effect would be better for the spec. Would add a decision making on when spend rage on Rampage or the other skill

I mean the decision is gonna look like this every time:

If the 30 second CD does more damage than rampage, use it on CD. Else use rampage and ignore the 30 second skill.

you do have a point…cut the CD and make it apply a dot/bleeding?

Play feral, it has what you want:

I don’t see the point in giving fury another spell just because.

Arms chunks and bleeds.

Fury bashes.

Feral does both.

I’m not a fan of something else competing for an ability that ends up between 22-24% of my damage. Thats’ the button I want to be pressing.

You’ve basically just reinvented Assassination with unlimited energy. Rage is your combo points, Rampage is Mutilate, and your new hypothetical ability is Rupture. As has been pointed out, you haven’t really added any decision-making, just another item at the top of the priority list. Not the worst idea in the world to shift some of our damage to an on-demand, long duration bleed so we aren’t punished as much for downtime I suppose, but I don’t think I want it as a rage spender. I think it fits fury’s theme to be punished for downtime - I’d just like to see our design adjusted so that we have more options for staying on an enemy.

For Fury if you’re going to have more than one rage spender, any alternatives need to be decisions. Any damage dealer is just a question of math with cooldown length (if any) and damage per rage - there’s a right and wrong answer and you just need to know the answer. You could make an option for additional self-healing - give up your rampage (and a big chunk of damage) for a hefty heal if that’s what it takes to survive right then and enraged regen is already gone. An immunity perhaps? Blow all your rage to go immune, so you can either do immune soak mechanics or maintain uptime on a mob in spite of something like Sharknado. Use BS or DR or some other ability that deals damage in a different way that Rampage (ST) or WW Rampage (5-target). Abilities that did more efficient 2-3 target cleave or high target AOE. I think choosing between Rampage and something like that gives you more interesting decisions to make.

Or to put it more simply… do I want to try and find space on my action bar for yet another short cooldown? Do I want to have to do a metal calculation every time my rage bar fills as to which button I should press next? Heck no! I want to slam that Rampage button as soon as my UI lights up and get that ever so satisfying whack-whack-whack-whack of massive damage.

There’s already other specs to go to if you enjoy keeping track of buffs and debuffs and cooldowns all the time. Fury gives me a nice short priority list and a single spender that removes any doubt that it’s my most important button. Muddying those waters is what ruined Destro Warlock for me.

I would like to see dragon roar baseline and be the aoe equivalent to rampage

This for me. Even though I love playing a druid and all its quality of life aspects, this has been my goto guy this expansion since returning. I can’t even seem to want to get my other characters to 120, nothing seems as fun right now to me.
